O.K., so you locked the DIY thread. How on earth was the thread hopelessly hijacked? Understanding how things works is about as DIY as you can get, not to mention the fact, that the conversation was (shudder) actually quite civil. What gives here? Specifically, what rules were broken?

I agree, shouldn't have been locked.

If you put some people in a room and give them a discussion topic, they'll stick to it for a while but if they're allowed to talk for hours on end, they'll progress to other aspects or something not easily seen as related.

There's a difference between deliberate hijacking -the malicious sort that causes volatile and unproductive discussions- and the natural meandering a civil discussion will almost always take.  Is there no allowance for that?  Why's a civil (relatively) intelligent discussion locked simply because it's not rigidly in line with the opening post?  It seemed to follow a natural progression.  And am I correct in noting that the opening poster was steering the discussion anyway?

Oh so cute (did you ejaculate). But hey, this seems to be what MM wants instead of serious discussion - so you win (depending on your point of view).

You need to lighten up if you're going to survive in the forum.

Lighten up? are you serious? We were having a very civil discussion, which was right in line with the OP's question. The poster I responded to (in this thread) makes a shitty comment about DIY and I called them on it, and and now, I'm the bad guy? I got brigged for being "mean" (using profanity) to a mod according to several mods  in the CAM thread (cool) (do you want me to post it?), but when someone does exactly the same thing to me (in the same thread) , it's fine, and you all do nothing - GOT IT :-) Me thinks that you (and your mod friends with limp dicks) just really want me gone - GOT IT - please delete my profile from this site - I bet that won't take more than a few few seconds :-)
