I am now starting to get gratis make up for various films I mua. I need to know the correct etiquette to thank them. What do the pros who get freebies all the time do? What is the best way to request items you want to try?

They are using you to test and promote their products. You don't need to send them flowers. Mostly a thank-you and I liked this product because... but this product didn't work well because.... and next time can I try this product because I would like to....

Will work fine and they appreciate the feedback.

Sometimes I'll see film credits for makeup companies in the the rolling credits.

A nice thank you note, email or card will suffice
When I am starting a project and need makeup , I just politly ask , let them know what im working on , who the celebs are ,which products I could use for the job or mag and usually most companies have a dollar amout of makeup they allot per project.
Certain companies are more generous than others

Ok, I have handled it right. I just wanted to make sure because I like getting these freebies and want to continue to get them.

Usually there is an Artist relations person who handels thing like that with bigger lines  , i think with smaller ones , you just have to ask the top, also networking and getting to know the people in your industry , you would be surprised who on here have some amazing lines , David Klasfeil , Liz Yu, to out a few lol  and there are other artist on this site that work for different lines that can help "hook you up " although im not comfortable outing anyone who dosent "out themselves"

gotcha! Should I just (in the future) go the website, and look for this person, or do I go through PR?
