It's getting crowded out there and I'm always looking for new ways to differentiate myself from the other fine photographers out competing for work. The idea is to get as many eyeballs on my photography as possible.

I recently began working with SoloModels who offer an iPhone App as part of my portfolio there. We worked for about 2 months on it and Apple finally approved it and got it on the iTunes Store today.

It seems to be a good tool for both photographers and models.

If you have a moment, it's a free download for the iPhone and iPod touch, have a look and tell me what you like and what you'd change. All constructive feedback is welcome.

You can find it by searching for "Sheahan." It's also in the photographer's category if that makes it easier to find.

Thanks,

Billy Sheahan Photography

you can have your very own iphone app now for cheap.  a new company offers iphone app templates that you can personalize with your own content, buttons, images, etc.  it's $50 per button and i think $10 month hosting.

I think it is more of a web app designed to run on the iPhone than an iPhone app, but ... it is interesting.

they run on the iphone os.  hosting is virtual (cloud) from what i understand, but it's specifically an iphone app.

from their site:

Isn’t This A Glorified Web App?
No, Web Apps exist entirely on the web, SwebApps are installed on the iPhone OS and run natively. They do require an internet connection to function so that they can obtain real time information. An example of a Web App would be Gmail. SwebApps are more like Internet Explorer and Firefox, in that all three run natively on their Operating System but require an internet connection.
