So I am still fairly new to MM, and have been gradually working to improve my port. Based on what you read in my bio, and the images in my portfolio, and that alone, would you shoot with me?
TFCD, send me your rates, or not at all?
Any simple overall critiques of my port from a models perspective? Need this, lose that? Love this?
I would cut my rate in half for you I think your portfolio shows major promise, you have good concepts...just work a little on lighting/composition. I like the direction you are going with your avatar!

Thank you Kira, I appreciate the honesty. The avatar is new just a couple of days ago, so it's one of my most recent.
as long as you didnt shoot me on this background I would give it a chance If I had free time, If you wanted to shoot me nude I would ask for you to pay my dirt cheap rates though :-p

I would give you my new photographers rate which is really really low because you have promise but not really something that I couldnt get from somewhere else. I find though that some new photographers are happy to pay a low rate just to get some pictures with a model that knows what shes doing
Based on your avatar, f*ck yes, TFCD. If I could get something like that, sure. (ETA: I know it's not a super crazy original idea, but I think I just have a weakness for bathtub shots.)
On the other hand, that's the main thing in your port that really wows me, so I might politely quote my rates at you. It'd also depend on how busy my schedule was. I shot a lot of TF* over my summer break, for example. Now I'm down to 2 shoots a week, preferably both paid. (Grad student here.)

So I started this thread late one night, and got some honest feedback which was appreciated. I am bored this afternoon and thought I would see if I can get any more replies.
On location would definitely TF. The pictures that look like they were done outside of a studio look a lot more relaxed and comfortable for you to have taken.

Thanks Amanda! That has been the general overall consensus, more on location shooting.
Though it appears you mostly shoot ladies i would work with you. You have pretty good editing skills and a great sense of what angles are flattering to the models.

I think your work looks amateurish and I don't the majority like your model selection, shoot less, plan more. I also think you should cut out about 2/3 of the shots you have posted, they do nothing for you. As they say less is more! You need to study more and pick your angles more carefully.

Thanks Anthea, I appreciate your honesty, which is what I asked for. In order to improve one must be able to accept criticism, all forms, with open arms. I have removed a few images in the past couple of days, I will re-evaluate again. Thanks!
