That's Sean O'Pry, who I found of off this website.

For 1 out of 6,692,030,277 people on the earth, I deserve a lunch in Paris, NY, or Milan...or even Kennesaw, GA.

I photographed him and he was found off of myspace from my pictures.

Again, out of 6,692,030,277 people on earth, don't I at least deserve a lunch or something?

Maybe you can get Tyler to buy you lunch?  Have him send out a press release saying Forbes #1 male model in the world started on ModelMayhem.

No. But I'm sure you'll be trying to milk this for the next year.

So if you had not photographed him he would not have made it?

I have been hearing about you discovering him for over a year now -- if the guy wanted to buy you lunch he already would have.

So I am guessing he does not want to have lunch with you so don't hold your breath. You might starve or turn blue.

That's entirely possible.  The original headshot was very strong.

The OP after repeatedly saying he would never post in the MM forums again has started yet another thread (about the 5th one he's started about this) inaccurately portraying himself as the reason the most successfull male model in the world hit the big time.

If it's to be believed the Wiki article linked in this thread actually credits someone else for discovering him from his prom pictures on myspace.

In other words this thread is about someone being very proud of something they didn't actually do.

The first photographer to suggest to him to pursue a career in modeling and to shoot him was Bert Hamilton, a photographer in Georgia, whom took the picture featured on this page [6]. It wasn't until 2006, that the 17-year-old O'Pry was scouted from his prom photos on MySpace by Nolé Marin, fashion-icon, model-maker, and TV personality.[5]

Did he really? He's been bitching in SR a lot lately about it being down, and how he wants a .5 day credit for it.

I think the OP told him to get into modeling.

Then he did, and was discovered by someone else...

though it doesn't make a difference...he's just trying to get his ego stroked.

Seriously, the biggest attention seeker Ive ever seen.

you misunderstood... the kid was discovered from myspace, but the op found him even before he was discovered... the op like superdiscovered him or something...

Sean's a great guy. I was one of the first photographers to photograph him, in Georgia, before he was discovered off of myspace and before he was a professional model.

Check out my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/bertphotographer and you will see some of his first pictures as well as links to others.

all joking aside, though... i feel op's pain... not saying he's owed a ferrari, but an occasional "hey, i'll be in atl this weekend, how about we grab a beer" would be nice... smile

but the constant need to announce this just makes everything soooooo much sadder...

All things considered......I could venture a guess why he doesn't call for a beer. big_smile

No you don't "deserve" anything.  No one is entitled to get anything in life.  Your ENTIRE reason for doing a TF* test with him was to enhance your book.  His entire reason for doing a trade with you was to enhance his.  Even trade.  Done. Over.  Finished.

He got "famous."  You didn't.  Oh well.

He owes you zip.

Move on.
