Just so that everyone knows we are speaking of Sendu's 15-day utility https://www.sendu.me.uk/modelmayhem/15_day/ The utility shows your entries in the PotD, the PotD18+ (both gallery style contests) and the PotD-OE (forum based - no 18+ images)

Thank you, and the small number of people that actually know how to provide credit Thanks for the kind words JoJo. I appreciate it. I often joke that it is the skill of the photographer not the beauty of the model that makes a super image. LOL. But of course it takes both and often others like MUAs, designers etc. Luckily men dont need much make up and my models wear very little clothes. I am sometimes frstrated at lack of credit on photographer's ports. I look at lots of photos and often see models I want to see more of and have found some in this way. But when the photographer says Model: Mike" or some such. It is perplexing because crediting is not very difficult when uploading photos. It is not that hard in the contests. The only time I do not credit officially is when the models is not on MM and then I put his name in the caption. I do have a model who does not do nudes according to his profile so when we shoot nudes it is with the proviso his face will not show and he will not be credited. I can understand that and respect it. But it is just courtesy and professionalism to give credit where it is due.

I use it every night validating the contests. With this utility there should be no excuse for any member entering the same image within the 15 day span. The reporting error you’re seeing isn’t a result of Sendu’s code, it’s a result of the MM contest code. The contest is supposed to display the ‘winner’ in the top left position with the subsequent runner ups being listed below in order of the votes received. We’re working on the code…. still. This problem should now be fixed. Even better, it can now tell you about photos you've submitted today or yesterday. As a reminder to everyone, I rarely visit MM anymore, and I visit this thread even less, and I do not actually use the PotD 15 day checker tool myself, so I will not be aware of any problems with it. Send me a private message if you want to see bugs fixed.

Some MM talent have asked to NOT be linked when their 18 images are displayed. Those don't get linked. Of course, non-MM models make up the majority of my talent pool. The only way to credit them is to use a first name. Using a last name.. no... a simple Google name search and, well, some of these models won't want to shoot anymore! Giving credit is "nice", but not really the rule... True, it does make it difficult for us to contact the model directly, to try to set up a shoot, but many models don't want to be caught up in a conversation of "Hey, you did nudes for THAT photographer! Why won't you do them for ME?!!!" For TFP sessions, I always give credits

I think JOJo was referring to the many many photographers who have MM models and still do not give credit to them. I generally ask models to credit me when they post their pics here. Ditto! I agree with you. When I take the time to edit & post-production with photos, then give images to the models, ... then I come to an agreement with the model to cross-credit the images. Very cool... I often am awake at 0200 am here in Houston when it is midnight in CA. And the voting page is already up and running in jsut a couple minutes. You have to screen the photos and DQ any stragglers in just a few minutes. The results takes a bit longer but still is pretty swift. WHat happens if you all want to go to bed early? Good job administering the contest all round. Esoecailly when there is lots of work. I generally pa attention only to the POTD 18 Men contest but you have to take care of all of them. While the code may be quirky the admins do a good job here.

I know the contest is for internment but, it's seems 9 out of 10 time that I have entered there's been a problem, usually and uploading issue or disqualification but now sundays whole contest is gone.. Fun! Not a word I would use.. I like voting on the contest, but entering is something different... so I guess I'm out... Not sure if my image was disqualified or not, my image was submitted before and stayed in, so maybe it's still in... I submitted from my other mm profile... there are a lot of creative images, Not always the winners.. and my hat is off to the mods for keeping track of everything the best they can.. it's seems no one else is worried about sundays contest but me.. so no hurry..

Evidently if there is a DQ after votung then the results disappear. But it will me back eventually. One thing you can do is check Sendu's utility. It will show your entry for Sunday and have a link to all the results. Sort of a way around the disappearance. The poowers that be in IB have a bit of work to do on the contest code.

Billy G you can also use thw CAM feature and ask about your entry. Contest questions are a built in categories and I usually get a pretty quick response from a contest moderator about any issues. Usually it is JoJo who is very conscientious.

Moderator Note!
A quick refresher course in the 15-day rule is in order. The 15-day rule is image specific. It doesn’t matter who submits the image, if the image has been in the contests in the last 15 day then it is disqualified. Desaturating/changing a colour image to B&W, recropping the image, reversing the image, resizing the image and other methods are considered attempts to circumvent the 15-day rule and will result in a disqualification. To check the images you have entered in the past 15 days please use this utility: https://www.sendu.me.uk/modelmayhem/15_day/

As someone who has entered the same image more than once but after a month or so, I find that they seldom get enough votes to win the second or third time. So what's the use? For myself I solved the problem by editing new images and set them aside to enter the contest once. If an image gets 9 or fewer votes it will probably fare no better in subsequent entries. I have a couple that came in 2nd, 3rd or 4th.... them maybe I shall reenter them after a decent interval but I have never had an image win on the second entry. So for practcical reasons it is pretty useless to enter angain and again. I do not know about other voters but some images have been entered so often I am familiar with them and I NEVER vote for them again. If your goal is to win forget about re-entering old pics more than twice. If they do not win in 2 tries they won't win at all. Some models or photographers may not care if they win so enter the same image just to get recognition. I cannot think of another reason for entering a pic multiple times.

I've tried twice to enter shots in both the regular and the 18+ POD within the past three days. I get the confirmation that the images were entered but they aren't in the contest. I have to admit I did not put +18 with those images but did use the +18 entry area. No snide remarks about the +18 entry area please. I stand corrected. The non +18 is there today.

Posting in here against better judgment, I am perplexed by the disqualification two days in a row of a photo that violates no rule. No emphasis on genitals, no sex, no spread. It was intended to be cute and amusing; perhaps the MM gods thought it was stupid. Is that a reason to disqualify? I am really sick and tired of the arbitrariness. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 2#28754072

I don't know how many images I've seen with two people. There's even a provision for placement of male/female images.

“5. Entries must be in the form of single images. Multiple images, even those combined to form a thematic series, are prohibited.” You can’t be serious about this. LOOK AT THE DAMN PICTURE. I take “multiple images” to mean some sort of pasted-up composite featuring the same subject. Like, oh, this image from last night's contest which was NOT DQ'd. https://www.modelmayhem.com/contests/po … view/30462 The photo I submitted quite clearly is of two different women in the same frame. One is posed with white roses trying to act formal. The second is dancing around the first making monkey shines. The two models could not be taken as one - they are of different races. I would love to credit them, but both are doing nudes on the DL and don’t want their “fashion” images compromised. To everyone. I truely do not understand this contest. Today this shot received 11 votes (come on folks, 11?) while there were 25 entries with zero, zip, nada, votes at all. I didn't even count the images with only one vote. What is the best time of day to enter a photo so it gathers the most exposure? I am so tired of seeing the entries the next day with several photos that I never had a chance to vote on. Even winners! Why can't we have all entries posted at one time with that day closed so pics don't dribble in.

Your picture goes into the voting contest on Day 2, along with all the other pics entered on Day 1. On Day 3 you get the results of the voting contest held on Day 2. Simples. Why people enter pics in the competition, and how people vote, is another thing altogether. If I could crack that one (and I became a better photographer, too, I suppose), I'd win all the time. The winners, though, are usually well-deserved.

I suppose any votes for disqualified images get tossed with the photo. Right so far? BUT, and I do have a big butt. If I vote for three images at whatever time the next day at the vote talley I see images that were not made available to me to vote on the previous day. It is like images are added for voting throughout the day. I have had other photograpghers mention the same thing. At first I blew it off as to Oldtimers but some of these added shots are so distinctive there is no way we would have missed them. Is there ever a page two that may not be showing up on my browser?
