^ I've shot motorsports at ISO 3200 with both the Canon EOS 5D and the Nikon D700. Here's a comparison (size has been reduced to fit the MM forum):
I'd say the image quality and noise level at ISO 3200 for both cameras are equal. Of course, you have 3 fps on the 5D and 8 fps on the D700.
You really don't need to go that high for shooting people unless you are shooting weddings in a Catholic church and the priest demands that flash not be used during the ceremony.

Howdy Everyone!
Drew just invited me to attend this group shoot, so I am here to introduce myself and to say hello. Yes, this will be my first group shoot (yup...I'm a virgin), but don't worry....I will be ready to rock 'n roll once I get out there.
I look forward to meeting and working w/ all of the models and photographers. Let me know if any of you wanna set up a 1 on 1!

Yep! Thao will be our 1st topless model for this event. More to come.

Hello everyone!
I'm Joselyn, I had lots of fun at my first group shoot so I'm back for round two! I used to live in Menifee so it'll be nice to shoot there. The location looks great! If you'd like to set up a 1 on 1 don't hesitate to send me a message. See you guys on the 23rd!

Paul C. Buff haven't stated when the Vagabond II will be available again. I'm sure they're busy dealing with the backorders for the Einsteins. I suspect the Vagabonds will start shipping again in June.
I still need to do further testing on the Dynalite Uni400 with the Jackrabbit. This is a much lighter setup (and I can even use the puny Manfrotto 5001 stands with them).

I shot with Thao the other day at Rey's.... She's gonna rock your world... DAMN!
Keep those deposits coming. You would not want to miss out on this shoot. No model line up can compare to ours and check out the location. Entry fee is actually cheaper than the others who have way less models and inferior quality. LOL

Thao is a great addition to our model line up. Show me another SoCal workshop/group shoot event this month that has a better model line up, location, and value and I will pay your way to their event. I need a good laugh.

Of all the group shoots I've been to during the past year, I've gotten the best photos from yours.

Great model line up. looks like you have stolen someone's exclusive model though!! shame on you . what a bad mean boy you are! LOL

Oh, we don't steal anyone's exclusive models. Not sure which model you are referring to but unless their event is on the same day as ours, the model can go to both. You as a model should know that no event coordinator owns you and you need to make money. I can't help it if our models make more money than the other events. As you can see, most models we use have been models we shot before. The others were suggested by attending photographers. All we do is make everyone happy. Happy models and photographers make great images and sell out events. All our events have been sold out and I'm not talking about 5 to 9 photogs. That tells you something good about ours.
I just received a message from a photog who sent me the link of the event that we might've "stolen" their exclussive model. I apologize for that but like I stated on my above post, their event is not the same day as ours so the model can attend both. If that's not right, I will tell the model not to attend ours...or make her choose which one to attend.
I also believe it is the same event who was going to use one of our scheduled models, different date though, and we didn't say anything about it. I actually like that guy. He's cool in my book. I've been to his studio and he was very hospitable.
I know which model. Very killer line up! And you aren't even done adding models yet!!!
My wife doesn't look forward to the end of any month anymore beacuse I end up spending money at Drew and Karls Events. But it does make up for the 2 Coach bags she bought last time

yes the photog is cool and has a nice studio
But I agree you guys have the best line up of models and always post great pics after..

i agree, to the consistent amazing model line up, as well as the talented photographers that attend and produce the great images that are just a taste of what was captured. the photographers i have met at these events, as well as the images they create on a regular basis are incredible. not only are photographers guaranteed to have a great subject to capture, but the models are also provided with quality images for their port.
all you had to do was peak over the strairs and all focus was lost, lol. i wish i had that power, just get a glimpse of the top of my head and eyes light up.
you need to wear a disguise next time to throw em off guard this time. lol
