I think the circle is shooting at the desert today. Them bastids didn't invite me. They better have good images to show.

18+ mph winds and gusts up to 25mph in the desert today. Shooting didnt happen. Just part of life when shooting on location.

What if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction?

As a side note, there have been instances where I spent more time holding up the light than actually shooting. I ended up placing my foot on the light stand to keep it from being blown over by sudden gusts.

There are things called "Sandbags" and yes they work with 20 plus winds. I have used them up there myself. smile

Hmmmmmmm, very interesting.  What about available light?  Or available light with an on camera strobe?  Getting out the wind is a good idea too.  LMAO.

Yes wayne available light works great and you can use the wind to further enhance the image.
Shot in a super windy day.

The only shooting I've done in 20mph+ winds is with a rifle. Couple of years ago I shot in a mid-range (600 yard) prone match at Camp Pendleton with 20mph full value crosswind and 5mph let-offs and gusts.

Just as much of a test of resilience as it was a test of skill. Basically just like photographing in horrible weather conditions.

You guys are making April request 1-on-1's? Seriously? The nanosecond her name appeared on the model roster for the event, her inbox should have been flooded with 1-on-1 requests. smile

Enough playing on the Interwebs. I need to finish writing some nasty Perl code.

I might have alrerady been too late.  Messaged her yesterday and haven't received a reply, so I am assuming her one-on-ones are all filled.

April is out of town this week and she will be going to Cabo with me next week smile

She will reply to everyone's messages upon her return. She will of course prioritize the ones who messaged her 1st or the ones who offers more money smile

What the heck would Karl do when I'm gone with no internet for 2 weekends?

Would he be helping bump this thread and updating the model line up?

Someone needs to wake up the dude...
