I'm new here, and have received these PM's about a underwater reality show. They are located in the Philippines with all expenses paid. Is this a scam or what?

"....I also have a project you might be PERFECT for - Fashion One (tv channel) is making my underwater photography into a REALITY SHOW, so we are looking for models from ALL OVER THE WORLD that are interested in participating!!

Please check out the casting page at http://www.istudio.com/mick/casting and let me know if that would be interesting for you!! You can also find the video teaser for the show there. We will start shooting late Sept./early Oct."

Thanks guys!

I worked with them back in 2006 in Cebu for a few months - what a total clusterfuck - a bunch of completely inept and total arsewipes run by this fuckwit Kraut (who pretends he's a Yank) who 'specialises' in shooting chicks underwater but in fact has an ego the size of Mt. Everest but zero talent - great combo. He does this just to pull chicks because he needs to compensate for his massive inferiority complex.

Do not go anywhere near this bunch of losers - seriously - he pays peanuts and still many never got paid.

You have been warned.

Hi Stephy.

In reply to your post, I want to confirm that the casting call is 100% legit. I am working on this project right now! I have worked with Mick many times and have always been paid, had an awesome experience and left with a heap of great pics for my book. I wouldn't take anything "Enwrightography" said seriously, he seems very jaded, & aggressive! His post comes across  as a personal attack on Mick & his work. I'm happy to confirm with you further if you have any other concerns. Please PM me if you would like to do this.
Cheers Bec

After having worked in this field for many years, I can say that BOTH BeccaP and Enrightography are correct. the casting call is legit, he's really shooting this material. BUT,  I have personally encountered more than one model and Professional photographer / cinematographer who have the exact, almost word for word comments and complaints as have been listed here. I guess at this point you take the information they have given you and make your own decision. Good luck in what ever you decide.

You have been warned. Stay away from Cebu. Seriously. I know that at least one person involved has a contract out on them.

Hey steph! Not sure if you'll be needing my reply regarding this thread.. I have seen their (Bigfoot Ent.) videos and photos, quite impressive. I wouldn't know if the invitation you received was legit or not,, but for some reason, I think Mick Gleissner did a great job in getting Becca (hey Becca! Lol) on the cover of Playboy Philippines. smile I'm just not sure which issue. (lol, july or august of 2010, i think)

SCAM!!! Please read their contract. They hold your passport (take you hostage)  and take 15% of your money along with other absurd rules outlined in bold in their contract. It's basically a sweat shop in the Phillipines and they get away with it under Hong Kong labor laws. This would never fly here in the US.

I am curious as to what they did to you to warrant such slanderous remarks?
