Models you may pay at the door, however we strongly encourage you to pay in advance if you can. Also NO GUESTS ALLOWED. If you have a friend who is a model that wants to be a part of this event they must express their interest to me and must pay the event fee. This is not a huge studio and we don't need unnecessary people about- especially because we will be having designer pieces on loan. Please be respectful of the comfort and safety of others by following this rule. Anyone not confirmed for the event who shows up will be asked to leave immediately.
So, the event will not be held at the CPC due to liability issues, however, the show must go on! We will be having the event instead at Vinyl Photo's (MM#714740) studio.
This will still be a fundraiser event for the CPC. We need to pull together and help out the students and volunteers that use the CPC. They are lacking in equipment for their classes and projects, so all profit from this event will go toward buying new lights and other equipment for the center.
Rules: ~No friends or guests.
~No outside themes, this is a Steam Punk event, that means no lingerie, swim suit, nudity, etc, Victorian Goth and Lolita is okay but please stay within the general style.
~Respect everyone at all times! Anyone acting like a diva or a creep will be asked to leave immediately.
~Absolutely no photographers in the models' dressing room.
~No camera phones allowed. If I see anyone snapping photos with a camera phone it will be confiscated until the end of the event.
~Respect a model/photographer's decision not to work with you. Do not chase them around or harass them.
~Do not harass the designers into allowing you to buy a piece that isn't for sale or asking them to discount an item further.
~All photographers are responsible for giving models edited photos after the event. If you fail to give out photos you will be blacklisted and not allowed back to any events.
~Respect the studio space. This is Vinyl Photo's studio and HOME. Do not go into rooms that are closed, do not touch anything that is not yours, do not try to do anything crazy like climb up walls, jump on furniture, etc. Use common decency and common sense.
~Food and drink will be provided. You are allowed to bring your own beverages and snacks but alcohol is not allowed. Feel free to hit the bars after the event, but this is a workplace, drunkenness will not be tolerated.
~Do not use other model's clothing or other photographer's equipment without their explicit permission. Individuals are responsible for all damaged items, not the event coordinators.
~My friends will be checking designer items in and out, do not just grab items off the racks or tables. If you do so you will not be allowed to use the designer pieces for the rest of the event.
~At 5pm the event will be shut down, this means pack up your things. All designer items will be inventoried. No one is allowed to leave until all designer items are accounted for. Once the designers have everything back they will open their wares up for sale, you may purchase anything that is for sale at this time.
~Have fun! This event is meant to create gorgeous photos, make new connections, and have a good time.

Oh if only Chicago wasn't so far... I don't think I could talk my boyfriend into driving me down there but if I can afford to rent a car out there I think it would be awesome to do this.

If you can't physically make it to the event, but want your designs used we can arrange for your designs to be transported to and from the event (whether by mail or car). I am "hiring" my two roommates/friends to be the official handlers for all designer materials at the event. If this works for you if you cannot find a ride let me know!
I have talked to Joyce, the manager of the center, and she is going to present the event to the board. Once I get an answer from them we will have a set date and a set cost for attending the event. Thank you for your patience!
We will be getting Frenzy Universe to attend and loan out clothing for the event. I am also talking to other designers and have a few who are interested but need more details on the date of the event.
So, update! The Chicago Photography Center (for reasons unknown) said they no longer want this event at their location. But that's okay, the show will go on! I have a backup location. We will be moving the event to Vinyl Photo's studio in the Milwaukee Ave area of Chicago. I will post the address for his studio and will be discussing with him dates his studio is free. Again I thank everyone for your patience!
So we found out that the event could not be held at the CPC because of insurance and liability reasons. The show will still go on! Vinyl Photo will be returning from England this weekend and he will set a date for this event. We still have more photographers and models signing up for this, so it will be a great event with a lot of people! I am currently talking with Aranwen MM#877432, and Silversark MM#1299088 to attend the event and loan out pieces for the models to shoot in.
If someone can help out by giving Silversark MM#1299088 a ride to the event it would be much appreciated!
So, update- there will be a max of 12 photographers (besides Scott Kashian and Vinyl Photo) at this event. The studio space is not able to accommodate 30+ photographers and their equipment. Please message me either here on Facebook or on Model Mayhem in order to save a slot for the event. We are also limiting the amount of models we will be having at the event.
We have 7 photographers signed up, there are 5 slots left. These are unofficially taken, as all slots will be accounted for once we receive payment. Once we have decided which paypal account we will be using, we will announce it.
