I understand that there are a lot of newer members to the site that might not entirely understand or know how to use the search function, which is fine.
So this thread is for us to post links to topics that have already been discussed (i am not talking about once or twice... I am talking NUMEROUS times).
So if you are looking for threads on things like:
- Basic product recommendations (foundation, brushes, mascara, etc...)
-MUA/Stylist/Hair Stylist wants from TFP
- the MAC boycott
- advice
-how much should i charge
- artist discounts
etc..
and so on, look here first (and please contribute links if you have them).
The links do not have to be all from MM if you have a website or link that you think is exceptionally usefull, but this is just a general FAQ, to help us not to have to answer the same question 10 times and to help the people who ask the questions not to get reamed for asking the same question over and over again.
Mary also has a very extensive FAQ section on her page that covers everything from make-up school, product recommendations to business practices:

FORUM ETTIQUETTE
Compiled by MarcusRock:
Forum etiquette
Certain rules of unspoken etiquette are recommended to be followed when using Internet forums. They include:
* Contributors should avoid the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS in posts. ALL CAPS is considered "shouting" and causes readability issues.
* Contributors should avoid capitalizing the first letter of every word in posts. Capitalizing every word causes readability issues, especially in large paragraphs.
* One should read all the rules and guidelines established by the community. Some communities may have different regulations on a particular subject.
* One should always be courteous to other forum members.
* Before creating a new topic thread, one is advised to search to see if a similar topic already exists.
* Contributors should follow standard grammar and spelling rules and avoid slang. Leetspeak and SMS-style shorthand are prohibited or frowned upon in some communities.
* If the forum is categorized, one should strive to post in the correct section.
* When making a technical inquiry, one should include as much technical information as possible, especially in the subject line.
* Contributors are asked to stay on-topic.
* Contributors should avoid double posting and Crossposting.
* To avoid appearing self-absorbed, one should respond to topics started by others more often than starting topics of one's own.
* One is advised not to resurrect a very old topic if nothing significant will be added. This practice is known as revival, bumping or Necroing.
* One should try to refrain from lashing back at a poorly behaving member or participating in a flame war; instead, notify the messageboard's staff of the event.
* When quoting a previous post, one should only include the relevant portion of that post. Contributors are requested to keep in mind that their audience can likely still see the message they are quoting on the same screen and can read it again if need be.
