With all this talk of new cameras, I have decided to buy the D800.

now, who'll give me $1600 for my 2 yo D700 with 77000 shutter clicks?
all the the original packaging, plus a Vivitar vertical battery grip.

plus i'll throw in a dust spot on the sensor that i have been to lazy to wipe off (damn makin be me lazy PS) no charge ~

That is an excellent decision Doug!  I want the D800E...maybe in the next year I will be able to get one... Are you getting the E?

wait who are you dressing to impress at WH?  I don't want wing sauce on my ties. They were like $14 (I don't take my Hugo and Boss ones out of the packaging). Sorry I've got a hot date with my a project I'm on.  Next time perhaps.

he said dress to impress but he didnt say who he was trying to impress.... if he was trying to impress me he'd have to be head to toe in latex.... and if he got wing sauce on that,  id just tie him to my fence and hose him off lol ;P

ok so after lots of mental anguish and internal conflict..... i went for the d5200 instead of the d7000

the 7000 i now unquestionably feel is better for photography after reading hundreds fo articles everywhere

However as 80% of what i shoot is video,  i needed to side with my business model and get the d5200 which has superior video capabilities

I shall buy a personal play toy for my birthday in april and stick to good investments in the meantime smile

THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL THE HELP....  Tres Appreciee tongue

The trip was fabulous. The flight an adventure and when we got into miami goong thru customs 3 people in front of us got "dog sniffed" and pulled them out of line to go to a room with 3 big dudes. One gal had a jamaca shirt on. I think they are goong to have a bad day.

I suspect these dogs know the difference   Kind of cool seeing them in action tho. All business and wham right to two bags. The 3 were together but the one gal was pulled put first. The couple with her didnt say a word. Just kept on moving ahead in the line. Then the guy with the dog came back and wham the other twos bags were smiffed and the dog put his paw on the bag and sat down. The customs guy asked the two if they were traveling with the one lone chick and they then said yeah. Dont rhink it was an Italian feast rhe dog was spotting
