No Twitter and I personally don't get it what the point is, or maybe I am just too lazy to keep up with every social networking tool?? lol

Sometimes it's a easier way to connect personally with someone instead of a wall post on their FB that they hardly check or waiting until they pop online.

I love Twitter!  http://www.twitter.com/LaurenWK

I have definitely found it to be helpful with networking and marketing.  If nothing else, you should just have an account set up to point to your main site.

You can just stick to the phone if you'd like.  Everyone has their own way of doing things.  Good luck with yours!

I mean I  guess I'm just saying how is it easier to connect with someone than through any other method I was just responding to the easier bit in her post.

I'm not really close enough with all of my acquaintances to want to pick up the phone to call them.  I have been traveling the country extensively for almost ten years and have met a whole lot of people!  It's much easier to try to keep up with the little things going on with all of them in all of their different cities and time zones, if I can just scroll down a feed and send little responses.  If something is really important, I can initiate a call from there.  smile

Don't look at me, I am not a Tweeter(er). My life is not so exciting. Although I do like to follow a few others who do have it.

I think I'd say about Twitter and Facebook both that they're a great way to connect to people on a personal level. I have models that I think I've become pretty good friends with, when part of it has been getting to know them through social media.

It depends a lot on who you're trying to connect with: clients, models/photographers, etc. But I think the biggest thing is to be real. You make stronger connections with people if you show something real about yourself. That's not to say you shouldn't self-censor some things, I look at potential tweets and delete them instead of posting them all the time smile

One thing I really try to do is not get too negative. It's hard sometimes, it's easy to vent. But it can be a real downer to follow someone who complains a lot. When I do have something negative to say, I try to do it in a funny way at least.

I had it but got rid of it.  I simply don't get the hype about twitter.  It's not for me.

I do not have a Twitter... I don't like the idea of "tweeting" or "twitting" or "twatting" or whatever it's called. Was never impressed with their layout.

Not a huge fan of FaceBook either, but it seems to be where everyone is at so if you want to be seen/heard you gotta be there too. So I am.

I actually liked MySpace (except for the computer virus I caught from it...) but ever since everyone migrated over to the other two (Twitter and FB) it's become a ghost town. I can't even log into my account there anymore... completely forgot my sign in and password!

hmm

I facethebook and tweet but they're personal.  Never thought about using it for photography.  I've mostly shot friends so far anyway and they'd kill me if I twatted a shot of their bare ass for the world to see.
