Would have around ten mangoes for breakfast sometimes. Didn't matter, but then again, workouts for me are based on heavy resistance and bodybuilding-type training. I rarely do endurance workouts, or even steady-state cardio. I do fine on a "gourmet raw" vegan diet, and great on a "high raw" diet that includes beans, and some cooked grains. 80-10-10 is probably best suited to people whose athletic lives are more endurance focused. I don't just do some chest workouts, for example. I bench press as much as I can, until I need assistance to rerack the bar. The next day my chest will be sore enough that it aches to apply pressure over the muscle. I just really can't train that way without more proteins and denser calorie sources; my recovery time has never been great (even when I ate animal products), and it was just plain bad when I was doing 80-10-10.
