I really admire it and I think it's becoming more fashionable. Women in the 20's did pretty much the same thing, wearing short bobs to rebel against the high-maintenance "Gibson Girl" hair-do. I have thought often about shaving my head for convenience, but I know that I would lose a lot of work as an actor if I did it. A friend in high school shaved her head to raise money for cancer research and she rocked amazing wigs until we graduated. Wigs are often an option on shoots. I even have a friend who has very short bleached hair and works full-time as an extra, and she has a brown mid-length wig that she wears to go-sees. She completely gets away with it, but most people *do* ask her to wear the wig.
I like hair on the head..the longer the better. Give me more options and the ability to change the model's look. I shoot nudes so this is not something I can do by changing outfits and makeup. However I DO shoot bald models. 3 this year so far. And my favorite long running model shaved her head this year too. If I stuck to my own preferences I would have missed out on a lot of great images done with models who would not fit those preferences. So I deal with what I am given. And do my best to pull out something fine from ever person and each session.

you are incorrect. the function of pubic hair is too keep the area clean and absorb sweat, shaving it off takes this away. it is not "more hygienic" to shave them away, it's simply a popular "look". i personally dont see whats so appealing about looking like a child down there - gross.
same concept applies for the head though, what is the reason that you find a bald head more hygienic

It's not a look that most people can pull off. It depends on the shape of the head, where your natural hairline falls and the shape of the back of your head. It's more alt than commercial/fashion
I shot with Velocity earlier this summer just after she shaved her head. She offered to bring wigs but I liked the idea of shooting a different look. It went very well and she took the concept to a whole new level. I love working with beautiful, intelligent, and talented people. They always make me look better than I real am.

Agree totally. Being clean shaven myself I'd love to shoot a bald-headed model!
If the llama has the cranian shape and skin color to do it great!
But, from sublime to ridicule, there is a very fine line....Same for guys...
I tend to prefer darker complexion for the look, in most cases....
I LOVE working with bald models....or I should say model. BUt I would again in a heartbeat... or a model with a true mohawk would be cool too. For bodypainting it really opens up the possibilities.
I have shot with a few models with shaved heads they came out beautifully. I shot a whole series "naked truth" with a cancer warrior and a "bald is beautiful" shoot
