First thought, seeing you're in Hawaii, was a shoot a la Helena Christensen in the Herb Ritts-directed "Wicked Game" Chris Isaak video from 1991, in black and white, with the black sand and the huge white clouds of steam where the hot volcanic rock slides into the ocean. But I couldn't find any good still images from that video. Check it out though, my fave video and song from that era

More often than not, when I shoot guys it's because I'm putting them in a scene with a story, and I want that tension between 2 or 3 players. So maybe something like this for you
