Oh man, this is how I feel today. Love this banner, by the way.

Humanitarian?  Is that what we call a grown man who allows young boys to sleep with him in his bed these days?  I thought there was another term for that.  In fact there are tons of other people who think that way as well.

Just because someone is a celebrity, it doesn't give them a free pass.  I mean, would those who are outraged by this feel the same way if a banner showed OJ or Robert Blake?  (hmmm...that actually gives me an idea for next year...)

What if it was Qadaffi, or Sadam Hussein?

I don't think many of us know what really happened in his personal life, because we weren't there. Either way, Sadam or Jackson, its really in bad taste to use a dead persons image. But this is a free country after all, you don't have to have taste to win contents... lol

this is exactly what I thought @ EdBPhotography

-----

SO ya... but it's okay for people to dress up on halloween as any other dead person/celebrity? Cause that's pretty widely done...
MJ might have been a great man, but that doesn't mean that a Zombie MJ banner should be so widely accused of being insensative. COME on people, it's Fu@#ing halloween. I highly doubt the maker of said banner meant anything by making a zombie MJ besides the apparent THEME of the contest. Why does everyone have to be so friggen sensative about something that has absoultely no relelevance to their respective lives! I've seen more people dress up as more offensive things such as Hitler... that have more relevance than a photoshopped zombie MJ. He was an incredible musician, a legend, hence why it was a great idea of an iconic figure. It's not disrespectful, it proves his influence.

Jesus... smh

THIS is genius. Not because of how it was made, not because of who is in the image. Besides the hommage to the original MM banner (not entirely original but fun anyway), it has, as a piece of art, accomplished something.

It's generated controversy and, as such, dialogue.

To those who feel that this is disrespectful - get over yourselves, seriously. Art is art, regardless of the subject. It would have been just as appropriate if it had been Bin Laden or Elvis or Jesus. Good, bad or whomever, the person in the image is a public figure (was a public figure) and is fair game.

Crying "this should be banned and close thier account' speaks volumes to your lack of art appreciation. Close mindedness has no place in art. Period.

The banner has my vote!

I'm the sort to give someone the benefit of the doubt. Celebrity....DA looking for celebrity status, etc etc. Yeah it could be a witch hunt.

Maureen Orth is a highly respected journalist who wrote a series of articles for Vanity Fair on MJ's trials and tribulations during the years they were happening.

I checked the old link I had for those series of articles, it's currently not working, but I will Google for another.

Given Orth's status in the journalistic world, if anyone who reads those and still gives him the benefit of the doubt......well, they are just stupid and being blind.

Not to mention his own public admissions of some of his behavior.

BTW, there was NO attempt at all by MJ of the family to sue over those articles. That's pretty telling too IMHO, from someone who almost made a career out of litigation, and made many lawyers wealthy.

First of all why don't u do some research bore you make any judgement of MJ!
Did you know that a boy who accused him admitted long time ago that HIS FATHER MADE HIM DO IT!? You know why? FOR THE MONEY!!
Did you know that they accused other celebrities of "stealing" money from them etc.
Did you know that family had a lot of problem with the police too?
Did you know that the mother accused a security guard at the mall for molesting her?
Did you know that that father SHOT HIMSELF at his amazing penthouse about 6 month later after MJ's death??
Second of all, WOULD YOU take 20 millions from a person who molested your child and let that person walk free and keep molesting other kids, may be your friends' kids, your relatives? Personally I would NOT. I'd make sure that nasty person rots in hell till the day they die and getting some action every day in prison from the fellow mates!
Press don't talk about it on TV, because its "boring" and "not interesting". Its way  more cool to watch someone suffer or die on TV, isn't it?
And at last, don't you DARE comparing MJ to Robert Blake and OJ. Its simply stupid.

Oh really, not because of whos in the banner?? OK, but now imagine if he would have used HIS OWN or HIS mother's picture, would you STILL vote for it? I don't think so!!

And there is a difference between close mind and respect to others!

Ummm...did you know I've talked to and personally know some of the detectives directly involved with the case?

Just because someone is found to be "not guilty" doesn't mean they're innocent.  Just look at the Casey Anthony trial.  hmm

Yep.  To quote Vincent Bugliosi in the Manson trials: "Not Guilty" is not totally synonymous with innocence.  It' a legal finding that the prosecution hasn't proves it's case.  A jury may believe the defendant is guilty, but still rule "Not Guilty" if they feel the prosecution's case wasn't strong enough beyond a reasonable doubt.

Michael Jackson Banner Review:

When he was alive he was just a creepy pedophile. Now that he is dead he is a hero and an icon.  How many of you bashing really cared when he was alive? Just saying.

Its no different than if the person were to have used Hilary Clinton or Sarah Palin. It represents a popular celebrity (not necessarily in a "bad" way). Other popular celebrity "Halloween" icons include: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj and many more. This DOES NOT mean that it is meant in poor taste nor does it mean it is in good.

Perhaps this is his tribute to the man and not a way of making fun of him. Did any of  you ever think about that? You don't know unless you are the man and, you're not. So therefore, you do not know why he chose Michael.

So before you continue bashing and raving, think about it. Wouldn't you be flattered to be considered an icon people want to emulate?

Pssst. Read this. All 4 articles. See my previous post about Maureen Orth.
http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/ … cts-remain

That's to say nothing of the fool trying to rationalize that a grown man (him) sleeping with children is an ok & natural thing, on national television no less.

This is just your words, it doesn't mean its a fact.

I personally saw the video of the boy being questioned about all the details. He deff didn't look to me like someone who got molested. Go find that interview and watch his body language.

If it was a tribute he wouldn't use that ugly halloween mask and if you're gonna make stupid allegations let's just call your mother is a creepy pedophile too. You know since I know NOTHING about her, just like you about MJ...

If you knew me you wouldn't doubt me because I have PROOF he was innocent. And access to thousands of documents and witnesses backing it up.. You have allegations. But if you choose to be a "sheeple" go for it... It's much easier to repeat than to educate yourself

No, I know some of the detectives and forensics people who went through the evidence involved with the case.  I also know what MJ himself said during his TV interviews.

Do I "know him" in the biblical sense?  No...I was apparently too old for him.

And just so you know (since I don't want to keep going on and on in a forum that has nothing to do with this), the first "victim" has admitted that he lied, his father shot himself in the head, and the second "victim" has magically healed from his terminal illness has tried to sue(with his mother) George Lopez, Jay Leno, and some random security guard for other false allegations. Naturally they lost ALL cases. They have been proven to be con artists and live in hiding.
