I would like to be a Mentor. I have a real non-home studio in Binghamton New York and a Pro MUA and Hair person that works with me on every shoot. I would like to offer advice and any help on Photography or the industry to anyone that has a question. I'am experienced and I feel that this area needs someone like me to help out new or (any) photographers or new models starting out.
I would like to thank you for your strong consideration for this assessment I know I would be honored to be a part of this.
Thanks again
Ron

This is such a great idea.

I had contacted Marcus http://www.modelmayhem.com/634411 for some tutoring in photography and shooting outdoors. He came to my studio and tought me a lot . He spent a lot of time with me going over the basics and was a little overwhelmed with all the info he had given me.

I took his information and went outdoors and shot a whole lotta nothing to try out the techniques that was explained to me. Was getting frustrated cause it was not working the way I wanted it to but then all the stuff that Marcus explained was coming back to me and made a whole lotta difference. We are planning a couple of outdoor shoots together soon, and are setting up a photo walk also.

All I can say is, he is a good mentor.

Did a photo shoot outdoors with a model on my own and the feedback I got was awesome. Not a pro but but was told I had stepped it up.

So basically I would like to thank Marcus ( Images from MR ) for helping me.

Thank You !

I have already worked with several photographers who are MM members in my studio located in Buford, GA, and it is something I enjoy.  I was fortunate to have many mentors early in my career and I feel this is a way to pay back.  Please have a look at my work and if you could use another mentor in Georgia I would be happy to be of service.

I'll look at your work, expect a PM in 24 hours, due to the time difference, I'm in Europe and it's getting late here.

Hi,

an experienced photographer but new to studio/model photography and I'd be grateful if one or more mentors could find the time to assess the shots in my port and give it to me straight.  Comments/advice appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Rik

Hi Rik,

Since no one responded to you yet, I'd be happy to give you an assessment, just give me a day or so to review your port and I'll send you a PM shortly.

Need the new script for mentor.  Since the thread has moved, current link no longer works.  Tired of looking at bad code on my profile and just now getting around to asking for the code again.  First request never was answered.  Meanwhile, I continue to work with new photographers in my area.  I love teaching.

Cheers

Hello Everyone!

This thread is beyond amazing and everyone providing feedback/suggestions should be recognized, so THANK-YOU all for taking the time to do this for us.
I would greatly appreciate a portfolio assessment if anyone has sometime to do one on my work.  I love criticism and being self-taught I’m in need of as much help as I can get.

Thank you!

Since no one from Toronto has responded yet, I'll have a look and PM you my ideas.  Don't worry about needing help. We all need help in one way or another (self taught or schooled).

I would love a portfolio assessment. I have (relatively speaking) a lot more experience with other genres than anything portrait or model-related, but it's become a recent interest of mine that I'm working on.

Hello

I would greatly appreciate a review of my portfolio.

I started in photography since I have a lot of friends that attend various conventions and kept asking me to take pictures for them.

I now want to professionally grow into more serious photography.

Thank you in advance!

Because I am already actively mentoring a few up and coming photographers in my area,  I would be happy to be listed here and to make myself available.  I am now shooting editorial fashion and beauty but have extensive experience in portraiture and photojournalism as well.

I am organizing workshops through our studio for not only studio lighting lessons, but also finding selecting and working with models,  shoot organization,  finding selecting and working with hair makeup and wardrobe production people,  and how to shoot for publication.   I bring in highly experienced models to assist newer photographers as well.

I know that this is a subject for another thread, but I also am coordinating a model development workshop program and resident model program through our studio, in concert with some of the most experienced models in our market area.
