I’d say the GOP is waging a war on women is a little harsh – but they sure want to provoke them into a fistfight. Some states are trying, and some have passed, laws that allow an employer to say if he disagrees, for reasons of conscience, with anything in his employees health care plan he can deny that coverage. I.e., contraception. The GOP tried recently to pass such a bill (Blunt amendment) that was narrowly defeated in the Senate by I think 51-49.

Blunt takes things a bit further and Tweeted we should ignore international women’s day. Lets celebrate agriculture instead.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/0 … 32904.html

In possibly the worst case of ignorance I’ve ever seen Kansas’ GOP has placed a sales tax on abortion. Not so bad you might think until you read this:

“The tax sections do not include any exemptions for women who want an abortion after a sexual assault, to end a dangerous ectopic pregnancy or to remove the remains of a fetus following a miscarriage -- the latter of which is defined as an abortion under Kansas law, according to Sarah Gillooly from Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri.”

Correct. If a woman’s baby dies in the womb the Kansas GOP wants to tax the woman if she has the deceased baby from her body. Same for victims of rape. This law would force a girl to give birth to her own sister. If that doesn’t scare you it should.

My question is this? Does the GOP/Tea Party really, really think Democrat, independent and even some Republican women are going to forget this assault on their reproductive rights come November?

The GOP/Tea Party has attacked blacks (Food Stamps), Latinos (Papers, please?) and are now waging a furious battle with women. Come November who will be left to vote for them? Angry old white men.

This gives you and idea of how the GOP works.........first they try to limit your personal freedoms and use the budget as the "proof"...........don't see how that works but go ahead and try but come election time......too bad....you're toast.

yes,
people who watch Fake News
would think that.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2 … -suggests/

"Fox News viewers are the least informed.

People were asked questions about news habits and current events in a statewide poll of 600 New Jersey residents recently. Results showed that viewers of Sunday morning news shows were the most informed about current events, while Fox News viewers were the least informed.  In fact, FDU poll results showed they were even less informed than those who say they don’t watch any news at all.

Readers of The New York Times, USA Today and listeners to National Public Radio were better informed about international events than other media outlets."

I have to wonder what you are reading and/or watching these days? Right around 69% of Latinos are in for Obama. Obama's poll numbers are up as regards his approval ratings. He's beating Romney by 6-8% and Santorum by more than that. Obama's rise began when the GOP/Tea Party decided to make women's health, and rights, the center of their campaign.

I heard a Republican representative say tonight that if the election were today she'd vote for Obama. Reason? She feels the GOP is dragging women back to the 1950s or beyond.

Exactly what "...most of the country" are you talking about?

Actually, not quite correct.

Eliminate all the entitlement programs and the budget pretty much balances.

Remove all of DOD and we continue to go into debt from the entitlement programs.

And you can tax every single dollar earned by those making over $1M/yr and you still couldn't pay for all the entitlement programs in the budget.  100% tax rate there jack, and you still cannot pay for it.

Oh, and your war machine budget quote....is a LIE.  You know it's a lie, knew it was a lie when you said it, and yet said it anyway.

What does that make you?  Hint: four letters, starting with "L" and ending with "R", with an "IA" in between.

You would know about personal attacks Frank.  And if you feel that pointing out what is a lie stated by someone who knows that it's a lie is a personal attack, you go right ahead and run and CAM it.  When pointing out the truth gets labeled "a personal attack" you know the spin is 80,000 RPM for you guys.  Run along Frank.

owing my life to the war machine is you myth to help you justify your choices.... Nothing the war machine has done has benefited me. Directly!
I will never be thank ful for the pain and suffering caused to men by men... I do realize that there is a part of the population that is disposed to violence stealing and distruction... Their minds can't  escape it.. And I don't think its something that's gonna evolve from everyone simultaniously.. But I have watched the Japanese..... A very bloodthirsty tribe change it's ways in my lifetime... So it's possible... Unfortunately people like you need to take credit for saving the world from itself ....but you have not stopped shit and you continue to egg it on...

You feed off of it while eveyone else just suffers in the wake of your entitlement to play war! You're not alone when it comes to the mentality your enemies are eveywhere. But I have no enemies just crazy threats from people incapable of controling themselves.

I do not agree with it.... But I'm not stupid enough to think the you could ever get it.

All your mighty war and chest pounding couldn't stop 911 or anyother fucking disaster because you are the disaster!

Nobody's proposing that but you.

For the sake of argument, though, you could tax the top 5% at 100% and pay for our entitlement programs with plenty left over, without collecting a penny from anyone else.

OP: please show where the GOP has actually waged war on women.  It is unfortunate that so many lies are being spread by idiots who cannot understand the simple fact that the US is insolvent. Most conservatives are generally against the idea of having tax payers PAY for entitlements for special classes of people.  That is completely different subject than taking away rights.  You conclusion is based on a feeble straw man argument.

If you read my post it should become clear that the GOP/Tea Party is indeed waging a war (or fistfight) against women. Why should a woman have to pay a "tax" to have a dead fetus removed from her body? Why should a woman have to depend on her employer to determine the limits of her health care plan? Based on the loosely-worded Blunt amendment an employer could deny coverage for breast exams based solely on his "conscience."

The rest of your rant is about entitlements, and off topic, so I'd ask that you start your own thread about that.
