No, wait... I thought pretentious fancy lighting automatically means it's NOT art?

Actually, you have to turn it to black and white to make it art, with a little (or lot) of photoshop.

Art? Maybe. I dunno. I'm not an art critic.

Aesthetically, it resonates with me, and that's all I care about.

Like.

He actually scales the buildings.. There is probably logic behind his shoe choice.

Yes, they are arts. And they are beautiful in their own ways. Any problems?

For me, it gets a response (a visceral one, at that!) Makes it art in my book. Perhaps what this guy is doing is more art that shooting anonymous glamour nudes...

Just a thought.

I think this is a great idea ! not everyone is in photography to create "ART" this is a different perspective that many do not get to view and there for he relates to his audience. So while some may not think its art, its very smart and relatable. Photography is so up to opinion that its not a good idea to specify what is ART and what is not, we all have our tastes.

It is. It is also considered art, Art or even ART! Some go as far as ArT, ARt  or even aRT.. but that's subjective.

I should go sleep until this makes more, and yet less, sense.

I saw this series floating around a few weeks ago..I thought the concept was actually really cool..

His use of line and shape is great..and to be able to sit so high above the ground, hanging your feet, and still have the frame of mind to compose and shoot these cleanly..hes got bigger balls than I..not going to lie..

And who is anyone to say that something is or isn't art?

Even though a few of them look like they could possibly be composites, but I doubt it..

Looks like a nice challenge and art theme to me:

To capture perspective and a feeling of vertigo from a birds-eye view at dizzying heights.

Run with it. See what happens.
