I have a Facebook page for my blog and modelling combined. I find it difficult to seperate different aspects of my life enough as it is!
So I have a facebook just for my personal friends and family; and the other one while the focus is on my blog I use it for aquaintances, acdemic colleagues, modelling/designer/photographer colleagues, fans etc

As a fair bit of my modelling is connected with fashion at the races etc anyway I figure that's ok. But then I even put a bit about my scientific research on as people seem to be interested:

So I think why not re your question. You may be a model; but you are also a write: it's who you are. And if you can bear in mind who may be following your blog so you have something for everyone plus it stops people thinking models are one dimensional and they see we do other things!
