Hey MMers,

I currently live in Minneapolis Minnesota and have been modeling for a little while.  I was considering applying to some major agencies in the new york area such as elite, ford, one model management, and dna  after I tuck some more experience under my belt.  I was wondering if I would be able to apply while still living in Minnesota.  And If I would be expected to move out there if accepted.  Just trying to figure out what the expectations would be before I apply.

Part of being an agency model means being sent out to castings and stuff. Sometimes a couple a day. It wouldn't really make sense to take you on at a NY agency if you can't participate.

I'm sure there are agencies in Minneapolis. Maybe even a division of a national agency. My advice would be to start there when you think you're ready.

You don't need "experience" to go see agencies @ open calls.

Moving depends on the agency, but you got to be here to work here.
