Barb - Wizard - Witch Doctor... I'm torn.... likely go barb, as it's what I've always started with.

I have no idea what he's playing. All I do know is him and 2 of his friends are planning on sleeping all day so they can play until they crash when it releases.

Mon:
- Sleep after work until 11:00
- Allow 1 hour for last minute patches
- furiously spam the "play" button until servers launch
Tuesday
- Play Diablo.. I'll have leftovers / snacks all set aside, and ready to nom. Doubt I'll go all out, but definitely all night. Might nap at noon.
For those who don't get it, diablo has been a part of my life for the past 15 years. Been playing classic, or Diablo 2 on a regular basis since 1996...
...It's a big deal. Been waiting more than a decade for this game.

Provided I don't have to be out of town, I will be his personal maid for the day. I'll be supplying food and drinks as needed, I'm sure.

Honestly, I can't really understand the hype with this game, or others which are closely linked in style.
It just seems like a lot of button smashing and repetitiveness. The scenery looks pretty cool, but what is the fascination with this style of game?
I love games like Oblivion and Skyrim with that 'open world' feel, and that you can make your own paths despite it being incredibly linear. I'm still more of an FPS guy though.

There's a beauty in simplicity. The encounters get really tricky as the game progresses. You spend hours building up a character who can smash the shit out of anything... but then a monster comes around that is immune to physical damage... you gotta plan for shit.

I guess that's where I lost interest. I prefer having a level playing field. Okay, The Elder Scrolls relies on levelling for the most part, but you can still give the entire game a good thrashing without dedicating too much time to the character. Especially in the case of Assassins Creed and first person shooters, it's pretty much just down to you, the player. Things like Call of Duty do have a levelling aspect, but some of my best matches used the default equipment, so it's mostly down to how you play it.

I could use one of those.
A little sexytime after beating Normal mode might be alright too.

Well, looks like I gotta be out of town for work all week next week. Which means he'll have to get his own noms. But I'll still make sure he has plenty of snacks and Amp to last him until I get back.
