Details & Directions being mailed out to everyone by Friday Evening!
The deep forest of Mt. Baldy is the location for this event, using a great cabin facility with free freshments and outfit changing. The 10 invited models will be asked to bring two theme outfits (forest fairies, wood nymphs, jungle warrior princess themes are cool). There will be 2 reflector captains available to assist photographers with lighting effects. Body painters and special effects makeup artists are welcome and incouraged to inquire.
Shot of 'Bengal Tiger Shawna' taken at the pond, 2 minutes from the cabin location.
Shot of 'Wood Nymph Shodire' taken in the huge Redwood tree forest, 5 minutes from the cabin.
The 11am meeting place will be the SM studios in Upland, where everyone will carpool to the shoot location 15 minutes away. Carpooling to this location IS A MUST as there is extremely limited parking at this facility. Photographer signup cost is $70, and you can pay that on the day of the event. Models receive free admission, some gas money pay and one on one shoot pay from 3:30 to 5pm. Models also eat free at the aftershoot dinner party at the Mt. Baldy Lodge.
The groupshoot session will start at 12:30 and continue to 3:30. The last 90 minutes (3:30-5pm) will be 'one on ones' at the waterfalls for individual work between photographers and models, with groupshoot starting at approximately 11:30 and ending at 3:30pm. Models must arrive 'makeup and hair ready' with MUA touchups available at the cabin. Total photographer cost is $70 with only 12 photographer openings available (shooting ratio at almost 1 to 1 ratio). All of the past Mt. Baldy shoots have SOLD OUT, so I strongly recommend confirming for this shoot ASAP!
This will be the 2nd of 3 'CBQ' shoots. And what does 'CBQ' stand for?... Cruise Boat Qualifier! Each photographer attending this shoot will receive one 'cruise boat qualifier' ticket for attending, and also one ticket for each model they invite (must bring model in the carpool). At the end of the last CBQ shoot on June 16th, we will be announcing the winner of the FREE $500 'MEXICAN CRUISEBOAT PHOTOSHOOT' ticket (with 16 models attending on Sept 2nd). So far we have only 3 photographers in a 3 way tie for the cruiseboat qualifier. All 3 possess only 2 tickets each. So theoretically, if you attend this shoot and bring 3 models, you could leave this shoot with twice as many tickets as they currently have, and be in an excellent position to win the FREE $500 Cruiseboat ticket.
Shot of Raini and Stephanie taken at Slide Rock, 10 minutes from the cabin.
Attention Photographers: I've shot at this location well over a dozen times, and this is the land of FAST lenses and HIGH ISOs, as available light at this location is very subdued with limited sunlight and deep shade everywhere. I'd recommend bringing cameras with sensors designed to work well in low light, as well as fast primes and image stabilizing lenses. You may find yourself shooting at ISOs from 800 to 3200 and quite possibly beyond. If you're a photographer interested in attending, please post a message here, or send me a PM and I'll hold your reservation.
One of 3 stream and waterfall locations to be used, 10 minutes from the cabin.

Put me down as attending. Your Mt. Baldy events are great and I've gotten wonderful photos in the past at this location.
Select Models wrote: Yeah they make a few hundred bucks off us every time we've partied there... and their food is FANTASTIC...
And speaking of Mt. Baldy Lodge; I have been working on some of the waitresses there over the years. Trying to persuade them to do some modeling. One waitress, Correna, agreed. I got this pic of her diving in the pool @ 1,250/sec:

Awwwww thanks... yeah Fee ran into a baby king snake on the way back to the cabin after posing for this pic. She thought it was cute... but me... HELL NO... I am NOT a big fan of snakes...

Damn! I would have taken that off her hands. I like those little guys. Maybe I'd better come to the shoot. I could be the official snake catcher.
