Wonder if CA's community property laws had any influence on the timing of the event?

"California law defines community property as any asset acquired or income earned by a married person while living with a spouse. Separate property is defined as anything acquired by a spouse before the marriage, during the marriage by gift, devise, or bequest, and after the parties separate. The law requires that the community estate be divided equally if there is no written agreement requiring a particular division of property"

California doesn't have common-law marriage.

There's a trend going on where more and more American men are marrying Asian women.  This is a very interesting social phenomenon. Could it be that American women are becoming less desirable? Or is this just a trendy or chic thing to do these days just like carrying a Louis Vuitton bag or driving a BMW or watching The Kardashians?

You see that A LOT here in Manhattan

Its more so the assertiveness of asian women in snagging the kind of man they desire

most (yep, a broad generalization, prove me wrong) asian american women carry over conservative values, where many other flavors of american women reject those values in favor of being a free spirited empowered thing far outside of their prime

I read a forbes blog post suggesting it had something to do with gift tax. She is a doctor going into pediatrics which is pretty low on the pay scale in the realm of medical professions. They are suggesting that in order for Zuckerberg to give her the money to pay off her school loans and open a clinic without having to pay CA's crazy gift tax, they got married. Because, you know no one can get married because they actually love each other, especially and autonomous robot like Zuckerberg.

White man/East Asian woman has been the most common interracial marriage combination for a long time.  And interracial marriage in general is becoming more common: there was a 28% increase from the 2000 census to the 2010 census.

I doubt it. He had his stock long before the IPO. And, if he doesn't have a prenup, he's even dumber than Paul McCartney.

Here's my criticism.

If you're a bilionaire, get a fuckin hair cut.  Buy a real suit.  Get some style.

Buy some style.

Being that he's him, I really don't understand how someone hasn't killed him yet, and taken all of his money.  Someone should have cut off that wedding ring finger to get to the money by now.  It's an enigma.

I don't get how this guy fucked over all his partners and made off with the money.  Someone will probably do him and let the estate keep the money just to balance out the universe.

With todays soaring divorce rate, I sure hope he had her sign a IRON CLAD prenup or else she is more than likely to become the richest divorcee ever....

If I was in his shoes with all that scratch, marriage would never be an equation - prenup or not.... but hey, thats just me.

I'm sure when they met in college, everything was innocent and genuine. But, money has a funny way of turning a good relationship into war of the roses. Sometimes people could stay together for an indefinite time, but after they get married, somehow things change.

Prenup or not, she's set for the rest of her life, and her family and perhaps the next three generations.

Well it makes sense, Asian women understand the whole wife/mistress relationship, you know the um....  the necessity of it all.

HOW TO WIN THE GAME:

Take company public

Get married

Drive stock very high using questionable accounting every earnings season

Get divorced

Divorce court judge forces you to liquidate your stock (at the top) to give money to ex-wife

Stock tanks screwing everyone else

You = rich

SEC investigates insider trading

You tell SEC that the divorce judge forced you to liquidate. SEC case nullified.

No doubt.

The trend is probably not nearly as much as you think.  But probably more sociably acceptable.

I don't know many men that say, "I will ONLY date Asian women" but I've met a LOT of Asian women that are ONLY interested in white men.

As for white women being less desirable.

I grew up longing for tall blondes with blue eyes.

Asians were unattractive to me.

In High School, I met and fall for a 4'10" Korean girl.

I blame her for my now strong attraction towards short Asian women.  I still have a special place for blondes, but they're a backseat now. tongue

From what I've read, this was planned long time ago.  Waiting for her to finish school.  She finished.  1 week later they got married.

OK I need to point this out NOW.

So her nationality is american and and her ethnicity is asian...

She is AMERICAN. Jez.
Just like other minorities that immigrate into the US are now Americans by Nationality and Ethic background is diff.

HOW the fuck is American (unless your Native American... tongue ) a race now? You are using it in the wrong dialect.

This is how it should be used.
She is an American married to another American.

OR
She is an Asia-American married to a White-American.

She was born and raised in Braintree, MA, a suburb of Boston.

That pretty much makes her an American.

I don't think Mark Zuckerberg is German either, and I doubt he's showing her off like a Louis Vuitton bag.

Good luck to them smile

They are living an enviable life together.

When you start on your journey to Ithaca, ask that the way be long.
Pray for a lifetime filled with sea smells and trading ports, with Mother of Pearl and corals, amber and ebony, and pleasurable perfumes of all kinds, so that you will arrive at your life's destination old, perhaps, but laden with rich experiences.

Wisely, you will not expect your personal Ithaca to have anything left to give you, but Ithaca has given you the splendid journey. Without her, you would never have taken the road. --Homer's Odyssey

Last that I'd checked, she's American as are many of the Asian women that live here. Do you mean less desirable white women?

Not trying to co-sign for him because I'm not a fan. If you're a millionaire, you dress  how you want to dress. As a matter of fact, that also applies to anyone without major duckets.

Common law marriages require that a couple actually call each other husband and wife. Just living together doesn't make anyone married.
