You could look at doing short training workshops with your fav artists for example a 2 day body painting course could cost you 250-1,000GBP

Pick your schools with care, some teach far better than others, some are just money pits.

I'm gonna assume you're talking about Joe Blasco since you're in Orlando.. I struggled with this decision, but chose to go to Paul Mitchell instead.. same price, but a license.. you said you have your cosmo license, so instead I would go to classes when the premiere show comes around, and now the makeup show.. or even what Themakeupman said, heck I wanna do what he did haha. I had a friend who went to joe blasco, she seems to get a LOT of good referrals, but says the school was a waste of time and ended up going to Aveda afterwards.

I just struggled through finding good photographers in orlando, but I learned quickly by picking other artists brains, doing my homework on product and technique, watching youtube, took a couple "convention courses", did a bootcamp in LA, took some of the classes at premiere and tms, now I'm trying to do more assisting for major agency artists. For only 2 years in the industry I think I'm doing pretty awesome.
