OK... I'm having so much fun that we'll extend this thru Monday!
I like this shot. Makes me feel like I've been walking along the river and... Well, I'll tell the story.
“The day was unusually warm so I took a minute to sit in the shade along the river. I wanted to take my boots off but it seemed like it would be just too much trouble. So I just sat back, closed my eyes and listed to the buzz of the bees and gurgling of the water.
I heard a slight rustling and looked over to see what it was. She stood there in her green satin dress holding the umbrella gazing into the water. There were moist beads on her face that she delicately removed with a brush of her handkerchief. She turned her head and gazed in my direction. I don't think she saw me because she began to slowly and carefully remove her dress and laid it out in the grass. Underneath were a hoop slip and a golden corset.
She sat down on the log and slowly dipped her feet in the water. Still holding her umbrella she once again gazed in my direction. I know she must have seen me as a sly smile formed on her lips.
Once again she rose this time removing the slip. She quietly laid the umbrella down and waded into the water. Dipping her hands into the cool flow she applied them to the back of her neck. I could almost feel the coolness flow over my body as I watched.
She elegantly and quietly got out of the water and put her clothing back on. Carrying her shoes in one hand and her umbrella in the other she walked quietly away. But not without a parting glance... and there was that smile again.
I've returned to that spot many times in the hope of seeing her again, but never have. Perhaps some day.”
Hi Kristina. Lots of feeling in this pic. Thanks for sharing.
"She had dated him before. They were friends and had been for a long time. She enjoyed the intimate rides out in the country side on the back of his Harley. She loved the feel of the wind tugging at her hair, the warmth of his body as she pressed hers hard against it, and the smell of his favorite jacket.
Something was different. Today they met for lunch and he had some news to tell her. She sensed that it wasn't good. His smile wasn't quite right; his touch when they kissed; something was wrong.
He spoke soft and clear telling her that he was going to be going away. There was an opportunity in California and he couldn't let it go. His eyes rose from the table and gazed into hers for the first time today. There were no more words; none had to be spoken.
Quietly he rose and gave her his jacket and walked away."
I like this Nelliya. I hope the story does it justice!
"He was the kind of guy that would steal your heart and he had hers. Every day was a new step in the adventure of life. Valentines Day was here and she really wanted to get him a special gift.
It was hours of shopping and making choices. Would it be a new shirt? Maybe a new watch since he had broken his. Or maybe she could make a reservation for a special night out for the two of them... or... or..... The possibilites ran through her mind like a river of confusion.
So she left the store with nothing but hope and a some new sheets.
When she got home it all came together. Putting the sheets on the bed she sat there with glowing anticipation of his arrival. Yes, she decided to give the best gift of all... herself."

Don't mean to thread jack but what you wrote went perfectly with this shot Good story!
Thanks for dropping by again. You're absolutely marvelous and I enjoy your work. So here it is...
"Things broke up early and they headed out. Cynthia was tired and so was he. Neither was quite sure how they ended up at his place. The sat on the couch and watched a little Letterman.
She reached over and touched his cheek. It was a little moist as she leaned in an gave a little kiss. He responded and there was a few moments of tender, anxious contact between them. He promptly fell asleep.
Getting up Cynthia decided to head home so she would have her clothes ready in the morning. On the way out she stopped and snagged his last cigarette for the trip home. She looked over and smiled. He looked so contented there.
Returning to him she gently laid a blanket over his exhausted body and left."

Hi Sarah. I have to say that I've never looked at an image and been filled with so much emotion. Not only does this tell volumes but you are so incredibly beautiful.
I'm sorry but there is no way I'm going to dilute the impact of this with my paltry attempt to communicate what has been so clearly brought out by all the artistry involved in this undertaking.

Congrats for an excellent accomplishment!

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. I also thought my fingers were going to freeze off that day, so I'm incredibly glad it was all worth it. Our inspiration/title for the series was "Hunger is No Picnic" -- some of the other shots had a picnic basket in it, too.
My mind is flooded with the feelings I get when I look at this. I'd hang this on my wall in a heartbeat!
"It was warm for the season. Somehow Mother Nature decided to allow us to enjoy ourselves outdoors for a few more days.
The wedding was beautiful and the Bride surpassed all expectations. She was incredibly beautiful and such a good sport. I really didn't mean to sing so off key but there seemed to be lump in my throat today.
We sneaked out for a breath of fresh air. It was a gorgeous evening. She led me to the stream, kicked off her shoes and stepped in. I had to be the luckiest man in the world. At this moment nothing else mattered as I drank in the beauty of the moment."
I forgot how to embed the image, and I chose this one because it's harder for you to tell a story with. It is not 18+.
Awwww.... I rike it.
OKAY... let me qualify. I spent three years in Japan as a youth and have gone back three times as an adult. I absolutely love it there and would never want to offend anyone... but I couldn't resist the little play above...
We hosted 8 Japanese exchange students over the years. They were remarkable and added so much to our lives. Our first was Kenji. He is very special to us and is our Japanese Son. He and his family along with two other of our Japanese children arranged and paid for my wife and I to visit Japan for 10 days.
Thank you Kenji, Diazo, and Sayan.
This story is short....
"This chopstick velly funny. How does it wolk?
Thank you for your submission... I love it. The memories it stirred brought a mist to my eyes and a warmth to my heart.

Hey thanks!
I have to say I was afraid to ask the model to do this - it's a total play on the character in "Kung Fu Hustle" and I thought my model could pull it off, even though it was exceedingly potentially offensive for me to even ask her. Fortunately she loved the idea, brought her husband along to help with some ideas (he is an artist) and even bought the curlers for the shoot.

A completely different take from the original story of this image, but nevertheless - you made me smile, you are a great story teller!! Thank you!

I watched some of the movie and get the correlation now. I should have done that before writing my comment...
