The thumbnails on my MM profile are so flat of colors, when you click on a picture then the true colors are vissible.. I found out that i was using the wrong settings to save my pictures for the web. If i'm right i always have to use sRGB on photoshop and lighroom??

I always shoot with my camera in sRGB and i use photoshop and lightroom to edit all my pictures.

When i edit my pictures i jump from lightroom to photoshop. If i'm right, i have to change the profile setting from photoshop to sRGB when i want to save a picture for the web?

Please help me out..

yes, your profile should be sRGB for the web. You might want to adjust your monitor settings if they dont look the way you expect. I would also check your levels on the image in PS.

Usually Profoto will flatten and desat images. Not a good profile for the web.

When i edit my pictures in Lightroom (proPhoto RGB), and jump to photoshop and save the picture as a sRGB, will the colors be the seem or will they change and look different then on lightroom?

i have things set so that it's all sRGB in photoshop (including working space). fewer surprises that way. i think lroom 4 now has soft proofing?

I would always shoot in rgb in camera. It is a larger color space.
Use save for web in photoshop. Google how to save images for the web.
When u change from rgb to srgb u lose some saturation because of the smaller color space.
So increase the saturation in ps or lightroom.

CM is made to be easier yet not simplified to the point of not knowing why you do things.

LR uses a sort of ProPhoto called Melissa rgb.

Photoshop uses whatever you tell it to by default or to honor in coming images with embedded profiles. That is in color prefs.

I export directly from LR, saw for web is a pain. I have presets, including some for MM, all with sRGB as an output space.

I shoot Raw then work in 16bit ProPhoto RGB. I then convert to Adobe RGB 1998 and 8bit for stock site where smaller sizes are automatically converted to sRGB but larger sizes remain Adobe RGB 1998.

For other websites like MM i work as above and then convert to sRGB resize then convert to 8bit and save. Some browsers and many websites only like sRGB. One of my images on here is in Adobe1998 and looks flat as thumb but shows correctly when clicked on.

I also callibrate with Spyder3pro.

Make sure that the color workspace(found in preferences) in photoshop is set to Srgb and also while exporting from lightroom, that you do it in srgb. Thats my workflow...so no surprises. Srgb works very well with print too.
