You need some variety in your port. No doubt, your headshots are very nice - actually this pic in somebody else's port is awesome: http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pi … 8#24235478

Thank you very much!

That was a makeup for the shoot. Lacey. She posted an unedited image and not the edited but never changed it apparently. And its the same on her website I see now.

Call me old fashioned, but I cant understand why a pretty girl with a 10 figure paint her hair blue.

With natural hair - in my mind you should command $75/hr. I am assuming that is about 50 pounds/hr in UK.

You are young and good looking. But your port is obscure as none of the pictures show you well. How about building a better port on TFCD.

Good Luck!

Thanks :-D, I've just been Modelling for about 4 weeks, so this is still a positive comment for me :-).

I have Blue hair because I'm an Alt Model, and having colourful hair is quite desirable in the Alternative Modelling Market :-).

Thanks again,

Sarah.

I hope you are game indeed! Otherwise you will not like my assessment. Your camera angles are awesome, but you are not doing the lighting and shadows well. Read a book on lights and shadows you will go far.

I am gonna say TFCD/ Good Luck!

If I were you I will crop this image and make it a portrait. You look stunning - the split skirt diverts the attention. http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/20623554

Having just 4 pictures in your port simply gives me the feeling that you do not really care about modelling.

Create a port first! Then lets talk about money!

Again, I am not very talented - but I am blatantly frank and honest! But please remember photography is subjective and opinions differ as does the definition of beauty!

And above 21 years old please. All others get ignored.

It is totally impossible for an outsider to know the  budget configuration of a  Photo.    For an example!    We are doing a patio furnature page.   The catalog is about 36 printed pages...(40 plus photo pages)   You have a  ego and a half if you think you can calculate form  out of thin air,     and that is the same for all  photography we do...even calendar pages for a swim suit calendar..

I dont believe you have only 8 months of Photography experience - you have acheived what would take a lifetime and an abundance of talent. You use postproduction manipulation excellently and you have a clear understanding of Lights. Long story short - you are a top order photographer.

You are obviously pretty and apparantly have an hour glass figure. But with 6 pics in the port - I can not pay you. How about bulding your port on TFCD basis.

Isn't this a little hard to guage because of different markets? For instance North NJ right near me has much lower rates than the Philadelphia area. I'm interested to what you would say for me as my rates currently work.

True the rates are different in different areas. I gauge them based on ho mmuch O am willing to pay staying in the Greater DC area.

In my mind you should charge $35/hr

wow, that is a different market, up here I charge $80-100/hour successfully in the Philly, Syracuse NY, MD, and VA areas. It is slightly lower in VA by Williamsburg/Richmond, but the MD/VA area is usually even higher than my rates, sometimes in the $200/hour range for erotic shoots. I mean I'm not inflexible, if the rate is reasonable, especially if it's non commercial. Maybe I've just been lucky.  Interesting though.

Your compositions, themes and the expressions you extract from your subjects are awesome. But I am not a big fan of your lighting and shadows.

In my opinion, I think your rate should be $40/hr

Mr. Poh:
I am privileged to have visited your page. Ports like your make my time in this forum worthwhile. You must be one of the very best in the either side of the hemisphere. I wish I was closer to you to meet you and get an education. Your tumblr pictures are fabulous with each one telling us a story. Please tech me how/what camera-lens/lights/backdrops you used on this one: http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30942647 - I have aspired all my life to create an implied like this but never came even close.

Your shadows work is an institution on lights and shadows by itself. When you get older - you should open a photography school.

As for rates - in Washington DC area you could command $250/hr.
