She definitely lost out. She mistakenly has an ulterior motive really to respond the way she did. She must of had some other ideas in mind for your shoot...I am just guessing but it looks that way!...

Lol sounds like she was too much of a child. Honestly I think I'd be more comfortable shooting with you because you're older *shrug*. There are too many folks out there that have ideas about "age appropriate" things, yeah ok, if i'm 70 maybe I should pass on the mini skirt, but being an older photographer just means you've got all those years of experience under your belt, and in most cases a lot more mature and professional.

I have done this many times with photographers, or sitting across from them, knees touching with their lens all up in my grill... but have been in the industry for 15 years. I have never ever not once ever had a photographer make a sexual advance on me, or do anything creepy except ONE time with a MM "no escort" GWC and it wasn't that bad he was just making creepy noises and licking his lips. You need to understand that these are model mayhem girls, not industry pros like yourself. The straddling picture is a model mayhem girl's worst nightmare, and what they are constantly warned about. At the same time, if anything is off about a person or the shoot I will not even set one up because there is a valid safety concern. She wasn't scared of you she just changed her mind about a shoot because she was uncomfortable and didn't think the shoot would produce usable images. No big deal, move on, no need to put her on blast. :-)

As probably one of the oldest models on MM, i much rather work with an older and experienced photographer anyday. Age does not factor into a shoot however ..its the quality of what a photographer produces.

It's really quite sad how so many people under 40 can't seem to appreciate the fact that many a good tune is played on and "old" piano.
Ya old fart . . . Guess she didn't realize that your "artistic eye" is in it's prime, even if the parts around it are gettin' a little vintage . . . somehow I don't think you'll have a problem finding a willing replacement to model for ya . . . beautiful work, much continued success!!!!

At 62, I still shoot nudes. I haven't had your experience, YET ! The process seldom has any erotic feelings associated with it for me, but I feel that the nude female body is just more right for my mostly landscape style of work, and can be a beautiful addition to any image. A big fashion statement in the middle of nature would seem incongruous to me. Anyway, just have fun doing what you re doing, and forget about the opinions of others.

the best work comes from the older photographers as they have all those years of experience and hardwork behind them, i would rather take a photographer of your age and caliber than a young newbie.
She clearly thinks modelling is about working with young photographers who get turned on by her, she is sadly mistaken.

I don't get how the age, sex, race, etc of the photographer should make ANY sort of difference whatsoever to a model. She's the one in front of the camera.. the only thing that matters if your work and level of professionalism.

And as a retired older photographer, I'd rather work with older models that know what the hell they are doing n what they want as a result of our shoot. Many of these younger ladies think it's a one way street... we have to gain from our shoot as a team.. it's not all about you, we share ideas n our years of experiance together.
I'd rather do art these days instead of cutesie cutesie ports anyway.. tierd of the same ole same ole nonsence... got dam kids!

Every once in a while someone comes along that says or does something that doesn't make sense to the rest of us. We're not in their shoes, we can't relate.
But we all have these little 'things' that we will or won't do, that seem absurd to everyone else.
Most models don't care about such things, and had better not care about such things if they want to model a lot. That's pretty much what it boils down to.
Your profile was saved in my Favorites long ago because it's bar- one raised so high I need a crane to reach it- but it's inspiration. I've more often heard that models are uncomfortable with the younger photogs on nude shoots, and the mature gentleman were considered more comfortable to be with due to not expecting to be hit on.
If you're too old to shoot nudes, conversely, does that imply a model is too young to pose for them? If a photographer or artist is "too old," does that mean he's restricted from shooting certain subject matter?
For instance, must an "old" photographer not shoot nudes, or shoot them only with "old" models? Must young models shoot only with "young" photographers? Although it works in many cases just like one, Model Mayhem is not a match site.
The main thing that should be considered when working with a photographer, I think, is the quality of images they produce... And your work is amazing! Her loss, really.
