You're 5'3" and 17 - the only agencies likely to be interested in you will be dodgy outfits trying to sell you a subscription to their website/casting service or a 'portfolio' of poorly shot photos.

Here's a list of reputable UK agencies who won't rip you off:-

http://whoistesting.com/blog_article.php?blogID=15

However, none of them will be interested in you due to your height. Sorry.

When you turn 18, if you're willing to take your top off then you might have some luck with a glamour agency like Girl Management or Samantha Bond, but they generally prefer bustier girls.

Failing that, you could probably make some money as an independent model shooting art or glamour nudes. At 5'3" it's extremely unlikely that anybody will ever pay you for anything related to fashion.

I know it sounds harsh, but that's just the way it is. Unless you're comfortable with the idea of being a nude model when you turn 18 then you need to accept NOW that modelling will only ever be a fun hobby for you. If you treat it as that and work hard to get TF shoots with better photographers then you will be able to have a lot of fun and, hopefully, get some nice images for your own use.

Your best assets in terms of making money from modelling are a pretty face and a nice figure, but you'll have to get naked - a lot - to make anything more than pocket change. As an example, here are a few well-known art-nude models in the UK.

Madame Bink
Ivory Flame
Ella Rose

For further reading, here's an excellent post by Madame Bink, one of the best known and most successful art-nude models in the UK. She's been modelling (mostly nude) for 5 years and has plenty of good advice for new models thinking of starting nude work:-

Where? Name them please?

The OP is in the UK. I have listed all the reputable agencies in the UK and only a couple of them take shorter girls, and then only for Page 3 style glamour work, for which the OP is not old enough and probably not busty enough either.

The OP doesn't need false hope and tales of gold at the end of the rainbow; she needs facts which is what I have given her. Sometimes the truth may not be what people want to hear, but when it comes to 17 year old girls trying to get into modelling, it's certainly what they need to hear.

There is a difference between false hope and encouragement...
You are seriously a very negative person never seen a positive post from your side... No need to attack!

Well I'm going to have to disagree. What he did was challenge the information you gave. That is not a personal attack, and actually he was correct.

It's extremely difficult to make it in fashion without the proper height, which is just one of many 'soft' requirements. It's not like every 5'10 girl can be a fashion model either. Many of them are turned down because they fail to meet the other requirements.

You haven't named any "top agencies" that take on 5'3" models in the UK so I'll assume you don't actually know of any.

I'm all for encouragement... but it has to be based in reality. The reality is that at 5'3" there is almost no hope whatsoever for any model to get represented by a decent (let alone "top") agency. Realistically, the only option with any chance of financial reward is shooting nudes.

Just because you wish the sky was pink and decorated with roses, doesn't make it so.

And as for 'negativity', please take a few minutes to review my recent forum posts - there's actually plenty of positivity and encouragement in there. But I don't sugar-coat, because all it does is encourage people to waste their time pursuing dreams which really should just be left as such.
