I was in a captain d's for lunch and the restaurant had on one of the local christian radio stations. Apparently they are doing a prize giveaway in which the station van drives around, pulls up behind another driver and follows them around until they stop (I guess).
I'm sorry, if a large white van full religious fanatics starts stalking me I am not quite sure how to respond to this. It doesn't seem like the most well thought out contest plan. Even taking away the religious aspect this, it still just seems creepy.
Edit: In the 30 minutes or so were eating and listening they did not mention "sticker or sticker stop".

That would end badly down here. I guess Brunswick is just more laid back about shit like this.

Haha, the problem isn't the religion, the problem isn't the giveaway....... the problem is your preconception of what Christian radio station employees look like. Take away that negative preconception that you are basing on nothing and everything's all good.

I'm confused, is getting pulled over by religious fanatics winning or losing?
What is the prize, getting to mace a group of people attacking you?
Who enters this, or does someone you hate enter it on your behalf.
How do they pick the sinner that they are stalking? What if the "winner" is more religious than the stalkers? What if it's a bunch of orthodox Jews or maybe a gang of Wickens? What if they stop the Google robot car, then is God in the machine?
What if the car is on its way to commit a bank robbery or something? How will the people in the van explain their presence?

A van follows you around until you stop, then a group of people pour out and dash toward your vehicle.

hot rock christian radio, where if the records weren't free we'll just preach!
you've got your dial on kgod, testimonial lines are open, just call 1-800-yo-jesus. next up, it's traveling up the music alter and currently #1 on the cross, the latest from the cult...
There is a local radio station that does that here (not Christian). They drive around the city in their van. You can't miss it, bright colors and logos all over it.
They announce it on the radio that the prize van was last seen giving away (whatever the prize is that day) near (name a business) on (name of street). It's presented in the radio like someone called it in on their cell phone and reported it.
So if you spot the van, usually in a parking lot, drive up to the drivers window of the van and have their station playing in your car where he can hear it, you win a prize (concert tickets, cds, t-shirts)

Huge difference: you seek the van and approach it. It doesn't tail unsuspecting people.

Nope, nothing wrong with that scenario.
Group of people? Dash toward your vehicle? See what I mean about preconceptions.
What if it's a driver and an interviewer, and they have their radio station tshirts on and a microphone in their hand, and they wait til an appropriate oppotunity to approach you.......... like all other radio stations who run these type of giveaways?
Nah, couldn't be.... everyone knows people who go to church are crazy people who can't go out in public without embarrassing people.

Unsuspecting? Are you sure? There was a country radio station in Houston that had something they called the "prize patrol". They rode around town looking for people with the radio stations bumper sticker on their car or truck...and then would honk and flash their lights to "pull them over", interview them on the radio and give them a prize.

The "I guess" was directed waiting for the driver to stop". I live in the deep south of Ga. I could totally see some of the locals thinking its a great idea to run up to a moving vehicle.. They didn't specify.
But they did say, they would pick the winners by "driving around, and pull up behind you."
As to preconception of what the radio employees would look like, I haven't seen them, but I have seen their office, which is decaying double wide trailer, with a old tower antenna in the field behind. I am assuming the employees like most people in Brunswick to be standard redneck chic..
And no offense intended by the use of redneck, its not really seen as a derogatory term here as much as a badge of honor.

Before Tim came in I was going to say that the only places I've heard of that do things like this include people with the station's stickers and such....
I apologize for being rude. I may still be in a dissociative mental state and not aware of what I am doing. I am logging off until I know what's going on with me mentally.

What does their religion have to do with the giveaway?
They're religious and they want to give things away...
I'm lost...
