This place can be very confusing for a new guy! So many different opinions on many different retouching styles/outcomes. It makes it difficult to decide on a direction or just stick with what feels right. Opinions/constructive criticism on a couple I've done recently would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go for local sharpening rather than flooding it with global, looks like a bit much... also (her) left cheek above her lip looks a little strange

otherwise i believe its a very natural retouch, looks good

Thanks Bobby, I appreciate the input!

Sharpening hair on a black background makes it glow. You've got a low of glowing edges that should be touched up back to black.

Thanks Brick. I'll try to remember that. Thanks for the input.

This looks fantastic! You made her look ultra cute! Great job!

Only suggestion is to clean up the armpit a bit. The only line she needs there for her to look human is the one crease, the other lines are essentially fat rolls that no girl really wants. You can take a clone brush at about 20-21 opacity and gently stroke against those lines from below to remove them.

Looks great, really!

1st image- Forehead color is dramatically different than the bottom. Forehead gives off a yellow tone and lower part seems more in the magneta range. I think over all that's a nice edit though.

2nd image- Left cheek more red than the left. Maybe equalize it? Clean up the armpit a bit too.

I really think you don't need that much editing really to fix this up. Good job!
