Im new to MM and after years away from the camera (about 25) I had a stroke years ago and lost my touch and my eye (so to speak). Now I am getting back to my passion but I forgot alot of what I knew. I would love some tips (please be nice) especially with lighting. I dont have alot of equipment yet but am buying more each day. Any feedback you masters can give me (try another career is not a tip) would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to learning from everyone and getting back to what I used to be
Make the logo smaller and keep the script name small. It's too big in this
On the lighting stuff, a big softbox will help soften up the shadows when you are working close to a wall. The bigger the light source and the closer to the model, the more light will 'wrap around' the model and keep the shadows minimal.
But shadows aren't necessarily bad. A few soft shadows on the model give contour and shape. Shadows on the wall can help focus attention on the model as she becomes the brightest thing in the frame.
Thanks, Ive already changed my logo so its not a distraction. Keep the tips coming. I love this business and love to learn and remember what I forgot. You are definately helping.
