They'll stay behind their keyboards and shit their diapers whenever a siren goes by.
The tea party and the rest of their compatriots talk a good game but won't and can't put their money where their mouths are. They're cowards with a cowardly audience.
Is Glenn Beck gonna pick up a gun and put on a flack jacket and storm the Capitol? No.. he's gonna piss his pants and cry like a child and hope that someone else does his dirty work for him. Just like the rest of the Tea Party. God.. what a name.. the people who actually did something useful 240 years ago would laugh at these so called patriots.

If and when it spills over the boarder into your backyard, then what? Cry and piss your pants because in Canada, you have no protections and aren't allowed to protect yourself. Oh I forgot, you're such a mighty keyboard warrior yourself. But it's all good, I'll send some pampers or depends so you won't be completely embarrassed.

I'm not one of the ones blustering about overthrowing anything. In any case we're fully capable of protecting our borders.
And I would love to see reference to any laws saying I'm not allowed to protect myself. Maybe I missed some law or another. You will I'm sure be able to point them out to me.
I love that he is standing behind a coffin-shaped podium. All his righteous fury, even with the support of every man, woman and child in his town, wouldn't get his finger on a trigger. Violent speech gets the blood racing, but it shuts down the mind. He knows as long as he has his audience gung-ho with thoughts of battle scenes that will never happen, he can get them to agree with anything else he throws in. Hitler did that too.

Obama has been doing it for four years now, he wants war, he should get what he wants.

I am not sure if they would laugh or being embarrassed...
Did anybody else actually watch the video???? No where did this corn-pone talk about armed over throw of the US Government. All that was said was your typical losing freedoms rant. He talked about voting and praying. Besides did you hear the crowd he is talking to like 6 people. Right now there is a bigger crowd at the chipolata grill $2 taco deal. Seems much ado about nothing.

Hmmmm... I'm not really seeing much of a threat of the tea party overthrowing anything here... Maybe a million strong shaking their fists to synchronized chants of "Get off the lawn! Get off the Lawn!"

To resist by all means that are right in the eyes of God is not rebellion or insurrection, it is patriotic resistance to invasion
Yeah no. He's saying " what we do now won't be rebellion or insurrection.. it will be resistance".
You honestly thing he's talking about using the vote to resist invasion?
Sorry.. but no. This is just mealy mouthed talk of armed rebellion.

He then talked about voting and using his other freedoms to resist. (Speech, Assembly etc) nowhere did he say pick up a firearm and fight.

He's talking out of both sides of his mouth. On one hand he talks about voting and free speach etc.. then he goes on to hold up the forefathers and their rebellion against the British.. asking if his listeners are as willing as the forefathers to "lose all".
Sorry.. just mealy mouthed pandering to a docile audience.
In his writings he talks about "Freedom died today". Really? This healthcare thing is the thing that sent them over the edge? not PATRIOT? not anything else that's happened in the past.. say.. 40 or 50 years?

Last I heard, the bullet doesn't care who's doing the firing.
So what have the current crop been waiting for? By that account Freedom (TM) died in 1861 when the first income tax was levied. Or maybe 1894 when the first peace-time income tax was imposed. Or maybe in 1913 when the Sixteenth Amendment was ratified.

Slowest revolution EVER.
How many letters did the patriots write to King George?

All of you that think the Tea Party only consists of old people are wrong. And if pushed far enough, dead wrong. Those images do not reflect the entirety of the Tea Party, trust me on that.
Keep tearing down everything they believe in and soon enough you'll find out just exactly what and who the Tea Party is and who they all consists of.

So, we ARE talking about violent overthrow of the government here, aren't we?
there will be unrest after the election regardless of who wins. Our country has become that divided and those of us in the middle will be the ones who suffer. If Obama is voted out the left will riot, Occupy is proof of that. It will be racially motivation will be the cry of the left on this. The right will not riot but there will be a sever split of the party, with either the religious right splitting from the party or the the more moderate republicans forming a 3rd party but the religious right will lose out in the end. Possible instigation of riots fromthe far right idiots who are more radical.
If the true tea party members where to stand up and tell the racially charged minority idiots to leave they would be in better standing.

With, like, ACTUAL GUNS, right?
Yes? No?
I didn't even read the OP article, I just assumed that it was talking about armed revolution since government on both sides of the isle doesn't seem to be interested in upholding laws that they don't like? Isn't that why the Tea Party exists ... that portion of American society who thinks that both sides are screwing us?
a million guns a month sold was the normal. Now gun sales are off the charts 2-3 million a month. And ammo.. my goodness stores can hardly get it in stock.
Americans fighting? Ha ha, nobody will have the energy to fight because they have spent all their food money on guns and ammo. Ha

Aisle.
And that's part of the point: the Tea Party isn't really adding anything to American political discourse which didn't already exist, other than rhetoric and symbolism which invokes ---but doesn't actually engage in--- some kind of revolt.
So, the question remains. What kind of revolt? How? When?

Was the OP link an "official Tea Party" statement or a fringe group? If it is a fringe group, I assume that the "official" Tea Party already shuns the radicals ... looking around, I haven't seen the Tea Party being especially radical/ violent/ or revolutionary. There just a bunch of people who don't like either set of crooks that currently comprise out two party system *shrugs*

I asked him that earlier, after he posted this:

Anyone stupid enough to talk about actual over throw in web sites will pay the price.
Watch the way you word stuff even if certain people keep baiting for you to entrap yourself. Tells you alot of certain people huh?
Big sis is gonna getcha. Ha ha.
Nobody is buying guns, bullets or will do anything. Gun sales.. target practice that kind of stuff is just for fun like a paintball adventure. Its trendy.
Yup. Americans will continue to take it laying down. There is no point where people will revolt. That revolt stuff is old school.
Carry on but watch your words.
What the hell do you think this is - the old America where you had freedom of speech?

The laughable part is that Tea People believe that over-throwing a government would lead to more money in their pockets, or a reduced deficit, or a more functional replacement.
A good part of our economy is fueled by foreign investors seeking stability. Rock that stable boat and investors will pull hundreds of billions from our banking and stock markets and head for Switzerland. We in the US have good lifestyles because we have a stable (if flawed) government.
Tea people would wake up the day after their revolution to a populace with pitchforks at their asking what they thought they were doing. The French Revolution shoul be a lesson, most of the original leaders of the revolt found themselves headless when they couldn't repair the damage quick enough.
That's my criticism of Tea People- they are fast food addicts without regard to the unintended consequence of their ideals.
And that's part of the point: the Tea Party isn't really adding anything to American political discourse which didn't already exist, other than rhetoric and symbolism which invokes ---but doesn't actually engage in--- some kind of revolt.

IMO they are replacing long term corrupt politicians with not so corrupt new ones ... I'm not a cheerleader for the Tea Party, but at the very least they are threatening corruption with the possibility that their jobs are on the line at election time.

Well, again, that's nothing new in American political discourse. If it's all about cleansing the halls of state of its corrupt entities, great. All for that. But that's accomplished with suffrage, not talk of revolt or guns.
The ongoing concern is that there are a number of paranoid blathering crackpots who seem afraid of some kind of self-incrimination or something. It's that particular element ---which implies and suggests and infers, and is highly susceptible to vague pseudo-prophetic warnings, but is clearly not actually committed to engaging in any action--- that casts doubt on everything.
Nothing wrong with "voting out the bums", unless those bums are replaced with other, potentially worse bums.

Everyone wants to act like they know something that everyone else doesn't know, everyone wants too feel like they can scare and intimidate with vague BS threats ... but when it comes down too it, most of the Tea Partiers are middle class people who "own" stuff that can be taken away if they get out of line with the government and almost none of them will give up their comfy middle class lifestyles in an attempt to overthrow shit.

oh it's a fringe group, but those idiots on the left will take it as gospel of the whole group.
