Each to his or her own I guess.
Not to get too far away from the topic, but part of the problem of nude vs. clothed is what what are you taking a picture of? If you put a beautiful dress on a beautiful woman, 9 times out of 10, the picture is ultimately of the dress, whereas the nude picture is of the woman. Similarly, if you cloth her in "a bit of mystery" the picture becomes about the mystery.
Personally I like pictures of dresses when they're on a beautiful woman more than when they're on a beautiful clothes rack, and I like mysterious pictures more when they explore the mystery of a beautiful woman than when they explore the mystery of, say, the Almighty, and I like pictures of beautiful nude women . . . well the chain breaks down a bit here, because at the heart of it all, I just plain like beautiful women.

But couldn't this be used to argue the opposite? The first image is a fine sunset. But that second obstructed image REALLY makes me want to stare and analyze and imagine what's behind there.

That's pretty much the rationale of those who say it's "sexier to leave something to the imagination." Aside from the fact that you always leave SOMETHING to the imagination, that assumes the goal is sexiness. But it isn't, for me.

Certainly. And a nice touch.
Edit; and it IS my photo, which I posted specifically with a "creative commons" license. Not sure if that covers what you propose, but you have my specific permission.
