I had to resolve it by using the center focus on the view finder. This is odd, but I did not pursuit after. Not sure my problem is the same as this one. Any one know? When I used the far left AF point the image was very OOF at the left and soft over the rest of the image. Jul 05 12 01:39 pm Link There are more detailed descriptions of the fix elsewhere. From what i have read it requires that the camera be connected to calibration equipment (so it's not a firmware fix, exactly), measured very accurately, and the results written into the camera. So you do have to send your camera in for the fix, but they don't replace any parts. Jul 05 12 01:53 pm Link Jeffery Williams wrote: I've outlined the procedure here. Jul 05 12 09:22 pm Link It is for reasons like this that I tend to wait six months before I pick up a camera after it is released. They all seem to have teething problems when they are new that get shaken out in the first few months. Jul 06 12 06:10 am Link I was having focus issues on mine. Not sure what the culprit was but I took it to the retail store and they agreed. Sent in for repair currently. I wonder if this was the problem... Jul 06 12 05:06 pm Link |
