thats a male privilege...

Wow, I'm sure all the women out there appreciate the fact that you are saying they can't take care of themselves.

And I'm pretty sure you are putting men down there too...

Wow this is still going on.

Let's just talk about the elephant in the room. We all know often times a lot more goes on at these shoots than just "professionals" working. I have seen and heard far too many stories for everyone here to be pretending this is all just honest people hanging out in safe places. Please do not insult our intelligence.

And yes plenty of women have been assaulted by dentists and doctors. Use your favorite search engine to look them up.

i'm with you on the first part.

but somebody has many times posted on here that thousands of women were assaulted by dentists in the last 10 years...  so i DID look it up. turns out after i called him on it was an admitted total crock of shit.

i quote one:
"In 2009 alone, there are thousands of women that are confirmed to have been raped under anesthesia by dentists. "

i don't see how ANYBODY that has half a brain could even think that was remotely possible without it being on the news every day. have their been thousands of boys molested by clergy? doubtful? maybe? but it's so commonly known that it's become a fucking country-wide running butt of jokes. and a long running one at that.

http://politicalhumor.about.com/library … riests.htm

yet not ONE person that i saw chimed in to say how ridiculously absurd the dentists thing was. even after similar stories were posted dozens of times.

and one model posted this in response:
"That certainly puts things in a new light for me then. I already would never go under anesthesia without a family member present, but if this information is correct then people need to get their stereo types in order. :s"

talk about fear-mongering. holy crap.

for dentists it looks like it's been like 1 or 2 or 3 victims a year. and from searching that would be including one dentist in the uk who was convicted with like 6 victims that also killed his wife and some guy.

so even if my numbers are off a little... bullshit to that dentist comparison to photographers and models.

and bullshit to all the other unsubstantiated comparisons as well. there are MANY more.

don't make me post the photographers list again.

for the record, i don't like escorts. but people, stop with the unsubstantiated bullshit already.

so much for the 'it's already all been said in an escort thread' argument. lol

Obviously, if women were kept at home veiled and not allowed in the company of a man outside their husband or immediate family, sexual assault stories would disappear. wink

I just take my BF with me as my escort. He then becomes a photog's assistant and is always a good prop. smile Everyone is happy.

I sometimes have accompanied other models on shoots if they thought the photographer might be a boundary pusher due to reputation, and they have never shot with them before. (Before all you photographers jump on me for posting that, just a few bad apples are boundary pushers, most photographers are delightful to work with.) I've been modeling for 4 years, and have only encountered this twice. I'm glad I was there for my friend, and I was glad that someone was there for me, when I needed it. She still got great photos, and so did I.

When accompanying another model I've helped with lighting or hair and makeup touch-ups and sometimes having an extra hand is nice. Although sometimes having someone else there will kill the chemistry between the photographer and model/muse so as many of you photographers have noted, it's not always a desirable option.

No they wouldn't ... just the ones of men from outside their husbands or family would.  Many women are still assaulted by those closest to them and no law or otherwise is going to stop it.
