Even thought I like the work I think it is just a wee bit dark and not sure if I would notice it if I was skimming over a lot of avi's
IMO you have other works that will work a whole lot better as an avatar

I very much like the intrigue and the creativity. Very nice work. But.......I feel the subject is too small and it is of the horizontal orientation, both of which don't work as well for an avatar. So I most likely would not even notice the avatar, because it does not stand out

50-55% yes. However.......IMO......you have others in your port that would catch my eye at a much higher rate of success

A successful avatar has 2 "jobs"......
1. Get attention. A person can see hundreds of avatars on MM in a very short time. How will your get attention
2. Once it has gotten my attention, will it make me want to see more of your port? IMO, these are the shots that will not only get my attention, but be the best ones at getting me to see more of your port:

very beautiful shot. But the lack of "pop" would probably not get my attention. You have a couple others that I think would work better as an avatar

I like the shot very much. But the lack of bright color may cause me to skip over the shot. Still the curves and lighting give it a fighting chance. 60-70% yes

the lack of color hurts you. But......I did look and I like a lot of works in your port. Good job! With this avi I would say less than 50% yes

Kim, these are my own personal rules for selecting an avatar:
There are thousands of avatars on MM. So we go over most of them very fast. Only those that trulystand out in under 1 second get more views and therefore will cause people to see you port more frequently. So these are the "rules"
1. Red. people always notice red. We are wired that way
2. clean lines. The more "stuff" in your photo the less you will stand out and be noticed
3. brighter colors
4. If using a B/W photo, use one that has higher contrast.
5. attractive body parts stand out......for obvious reasons.......cleavage, legs, curves, eyes all will make people stop and look
6. close the better. Don't make yourself small in the photo. Make yourself closer and bigger
7. vertical is usually better......not horizontal photo orientation
I fully understand that you are new on MM and probably haven't had many decent shots yet to have a good avatar. When you get some good shots, ck out these rules when selecting on of your works to be an avi
Good luck!!
