Hey, if this is a stupid question I apologize, I just never done this before. I just got the interest of submitting or working for magazines. I have been published in Urban Ink and a spanish tattoo magazine as a makeup artist. I got those jobs because I am a personal makeup artist for the model.

But I want to expand and was wondering what exactly do I do to go about it. I emailed one magazine and sent them some photos, but I feel like I did it wrong. I dont know, I just want to take this career to the next level. Any help?

If you use the forum search function, you will find that this question has been asked hundreds of time and the info is all there for you.

You don't submit photos; the photographer does. So what you need to do is work with photographers that actively get published or at least are regularly submitting work (assuming their work is good enough for the intended magazine).
It ain't easy.
