Have a nice Thanksgiving day.

Waiting for your caming back smile

Hello Emme and thanks for your holiday wishes.  I know you waited patiently so you are the first one I am responding after a week of taking a break.

You should know that Toscana is one of my favorite places on earth for its scenic beauty, food, and its wonderful people. As a matter of fact I can say that visiting your region about 10 years ago  provided me with the inspiration to capture beauty through photography so it is a privilege to review your lovely port.

Can it be improved ? Yes it can. If you follow my guideline, you will see that I discourage posting variant images - Rule [1]. Consequently I recommend deleting this one as the sister image is a bit stronger. I also am not fan how there is a shadow on your face.
http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30608088

Using the same logic I recommend deleting either this image or the variant image. (Same wardrobe, same location)
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121112/04/50a0edcc8a95c_m.jpg

Besides loving your AVI which you wisely chose, I also love this image for light, location and showing your stunning anatomy

Hello Meghan, thanks for stopping by. At a glance, my instant reaction to your port is wow, what lovely curves and beautiful face. My second reaction is that your most recently posted images drag your port down.

Here, unlike some of your other photos, your expression is asymmetrical, and just not very captivating.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121122/05/50ae2690155ab_m.jpg

Here, your pose and expression are contrived - rule [2]
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121121/22/50adc428d53bf_m.jpg

One of my favorites is this latex image for you pose, thoughtful expression, exotic face and divine curves. (However I propose deleting, the variants - rule [1]. Since you got bunch of comments on those too, and rightly so, you can simply hide those images. You can recall them any time without losing your comments)
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120508/02/4fa8e68ebaa5a_m.jpg

I love this sultry wet image as well.

Enjoy your holidays as well!

Hello Brandon,
I do not lash people here just like I do not lash my children. Rather, my aim is to encourage members artistic endeavors by providing constructive criticism. This is especially true of those who are relative newbies like yourself who are discovering their creative talents.

I see that you are exploring various style of photography, and that is a good thing. Some images are captivating, others less so.

I am ambiguous about your first image - actually a collection of four images in your first row. Ironically it is your best image and at the same time your worst as far as method of display is concerned. Your composition and light are great, and  the cute French maid model provides lovely pose. While you have also solved the problem of displaying landscape style images on MM by making them large and readable, you provided unfortunately multiple images which tend to confuse the viewer. Which image should the viewer comment on? And once you click on one icon, you get enlarged yet incomplete image to view. (You have also posted a variant in row 2 which should go)
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121119/21/50ab1679a1ba0_m.jpg

I propose removing the 4 in a series and the small variant and instead post one tightly cropped image (yes you will lose the trees)

Additionally I advise you to remove alll the blood images. Rule [5]. I don’t think blood and beauty go well together.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121020/12/5082fb333ad38_m.jpg

As  mentioned, the French maid image is one of my favorites. I also like the horse theme, but you ought to keep only one or two. Finally I would like to point out this one for this captivating shot with great framing and beauty.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121020/12/5082f910275f5_m.jpg

Good luck on your creative journey.

Hello Storm,

Your port defines a new class of work where modeling, photography and art converge. Each image excels in its own right, yet together they provide powerful synergy. Your images are intellectually stimulating and at the same time stunningly beautiful.

Yours is the first port in 28 pages of reviews that I cannot recommend a single image for removal, yet I cannnot point a favorite either, as all images are unique individually and together they stand as a gallery of art.

Hello Ashley, sorry for skipping you. Please note that I skipped most people from the last page. When I get overwhelmed with requests, I skip randomly and go back only to those who complain, like you did lol.

You have some captivating images in your port, it is compact and there are no obvious variants..yay smile There are a couple of images which your port could live without.

Here, your expression is sort of dull. This is confirmed by lack of enthusiasm by your viewers - low view to comment ratio - rule [4]

While this image is interesting for its unique styling, the belts deform your breasts to an unflattering appearance.

Welcome to MM Shelly. I see you are on a great start as some of your images are quite captivating and they show your beauty well. From the style of the images, it seems like you worked with just one photographer, which is ok for now as you are just starting. However, as you  begin working with more photographers expanding your port, you can start removing several images.

This should be the first to go as I consider railroads a cliche theme - Rule [5]
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121120/10/50abd2ba54c0a_m.jpg

You should scrap also this image as it is a variant - Rue [5]. Furthermore, you expression is sort of weak. The sister image is stronger.

As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the oil smile

Welcome to MM John. While you have been doing weddings in the past, you seem to be just starting out with modeling and experimenting with different styles so I will be gentle. Some of your images are captivating (I will get to them in a moment) others need to be removed if you want to upgrade your port.

It is absolutely clear in my mind that five images must go.

First. This concept does not speak to me. I don’t like guns - rule [5]  negative theme. Plus I can see your shadow in the image.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121108/17/509c568af1d5c_m.jpg

Same goes for the following image. The light is good, but I don’t see the value of the concept. Imagine if a model was evaluating whether to shoot with you tfcd. Do you think based on this image she would chose you? I doubt it.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121108/17/509c566932703_m.jpg

Here there are no guns, but you introduce a cigarette, yet another negative theme. Maybe in the 1950's this would be cool, but this is the 21st century. Plus the girl has band aid on her cheek. Was this intentional? If so, I don’t get it.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121108/16/509c55324bd7b_m.jpg

Also, you should delete this weird zombie scene. The image does not speak well of your photographic skills. Again, a prospective client or model would not choose you based on this image

http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121019/07/50816108edaba_m.jpg

Lastly you should exorcise this image. A guy with his guitar offering a wimpy smile in a trashy  room is not a concept that is easily understood or appreciated  by your average viewer.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121008/00/50727bdb2edd9_m.jpg

OK, so you do have few images that speak well of your skills. The model is sexy, her pose and expressions are great. You captured the moment of water wave  rolling upon her quite well. I also like this image for its light and ambiance.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121008/00/50727c3d600aa_m.jpg

Here you show good composition skills.

You have a strong port Jessie, showing your beautiful face and curves and there is a nice variety. On the down size, your port has grown out of control, and you probably realize it considering you came to this forum. A typical visitor entering your port will not have the time to view all 100+ images you posted, so he/she will just glance through them and thus may miss your gems. I advise for experienced models/photographers like youare, to keep their ports at 40 to no more than 60 images.

Firstly I think you should delete the variants - Rule [1]. A variant is an image in a group of two or more images taken by the same photographer in a particualr shoot, using the same wardrobe and in the same setting. Always pick the strongest one in  a group. A casual glance tells me there are at least 20 variants in your port.

Here is one example of an image to delete. You just have too many images by smashbase.
http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/14398475

You have over posted  images by taylor, with the same hair color/style.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/071226/23/477326a29067b_m.jpg

You should also delete most, if not all your collages which I strongly disapprove of - Rule [3]. As expected, most of your composites have rather low view to comment ratio - Rule [4] - listen to your audience. Here is one example but you got several.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/081102/18/490e37fcd6844_m.jpg

There are a bunch more images with low ratios for you to delete. Note that if you dont have the heart to delete an image, you can just hide it for later recall - just go to the Manage Photos page to hide an image. All comments will be preserved should you decide later on to display the image again.

I do commend you for several very strong images. This one I love for your expression, styling and boobs smile

This retro is real hot, with great composition

Greeting Rachel, thanks for stopping by. You have built a captivating port with some great images. I do see a few though that should definitely go.

First one that jumped at me was this one. Not only it is a variant, it looks like you are falling asleep.

Here, I see no captivating concept, and again your expression is rather boring.

Was this enough oil for your wheel?

WOO HOO! Thanks for the critique. I would like to address a few things:
You're right, I do a ton of weddings and am just not getting into modeling so thanks for going easy on me. I haven't quite decided what form of "modeling" i want to get into. The majority of the pictures you said to remove were cosplayers - they were modeling as characters from comics. The first one with the guns was a zombie slayer and the shadow were meant to be the zombies in the distance coming for her. I do like the image, but agree it may not speak to many people here. The next couple was a model portraying "Tank Girl" and she nailed it!  Again, though, I understand it may not speak to many members here, but to the ones who know Tank Girl I feel that those were great images: http://www.tankgirl.info/tankgirl/image … g8_cov.jpg the band-aid and cigarette (as well as the guns and shadows) were all intentional.

The last two: the zombie scene and the guy with guitar - I literally threw those in to show diversity. I have a LOT of pictures of that ONE model at the beach but didn't want to saturate my port with one model. I know form browsing MM that guitars are over-done.

I have a few more cosplay sessions lined up, but not many glamour, fashion, or swimsuit sessions which may be because of my port, lol. Thanks for the advice!

Hi.
I'm always confused on what images should be in my port and which ones shouldn't be. I know right now I have more than one image from each shoot, but I'm not sure which ones are "better" than the others, etc.
Even though I've had an account for over a year, I've only been actually doing shoots since September. I just want to be more organized and display only what's neccessary.
So I would really appreciate the advice, I'm still new to this so I hope I'm not doing too terrible. tongue
Thanks

Hello Brianne,
Thanks for stopping by. I peeked at your port when you originally posted your question last week, noticing variant images which goes against my guidelines - rule [1] posted on page 1. I was too busy to respond and now visiting your port again I see that you read my mind and deleted the very same images I was going to recommend you to delete smile

Right now there are still a couple more that could go. I propose deleting this image, as here you are wearing the same wardrobe as I in the sister image. Furthermore, your expression is rather weak.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121118/15/50a973c370ece_m.jpg

I also propose deleting the this image as it serves absolutely no purpose in your port, as it does not advance it in any way. You just look like a clown, it does not show your beauty and the clown makeup is not artistic at all.
http://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121021/16/508487153a784_m.jpg

Besides your cute and timely Santa AVI I would choose two more images.

Here you wear sensuous wardrobe and your expression is very alluring

Thanks for the review. big_smile I was actually considering those exact images to remove lol.  The clown image was supposed to be a Halloween/cosplay of Harley Quinn, but I can see what you are getting at. I figured since that's a genre I'd be interested in to leave it in there but it does seem really out of place. As for the other image, I was iffy on my face, but couldn't decide if I wanted to remove it, but your opinion helps.
Thanks again smile

Well, if you have a second...

Welcome to MM and thanks for stopping by. Your port is nice and compact, always keep it that way, never exceed 40 or 50 images.

If you read my previous reviews and follow my guidelines on Page 1 you will realize that I discourage variant images (same scene, wardrobe or concept) as they confuse a viewer and devalue one's port. As such I would ask you to delete the following image as the expression is rather weak, and the sister image is stronger.

I also recomend removing this one. Besides being a variant, the dark background against har black bra gives the illusion that she has no breasts.

I love the way you captured this girl's beauty and the composition is great.
