You can try a global color balance adjustment layer. Add a bit of red to the shadows and red to the midtones and highlights.

Check the RGB values in the shadows and highlights.

The shadows are high in blue. The highlights are high in magenta and even higher in yellow. It's probably just cross-processing in curves.

the question is....what kind of blending? just normal?
at first i thought this style technique use gradient map with blue/cyan in shadow and yellow/red in highlights but still not getting any closer.
my weakness is how to "read" color....
thanks peano...you very kind person

I've never used Cross Processing, I'm not entirely sure what it is.
I love learning new stuff, anybody got a link to a tutorial they like on it?

Give it a shot. I have spoken to him on a few occasions before (via deviantArt) and he is a very friendly guy!

Akif is a nice guy, I have spoken to him before via DeviantArt as well. I do believe in a interview I remember him mentioning he uses curves and its a powerful tool, so I would imagine he is using it to cross process..... I just don't know what else he does.

I just love how on every thread Peano breaks it down and promotes THINKING !!!!

Has everyone forgotten that there is an eyedropper and an actual breakdown of the color in any digital image. smile

just saying.
