Trying to clean up my portfolio...

Just added this b&w.

Thoughts?

Meh.  There's some great reading a few posts back in a thread by Niel Snape.  Read all the way to the end about posing and movement.  What bothers me most here is the stare and pose of the model.  I'm indifferent about the composition and flat light.

Don't worry so much about cleaning up your portfolio. Keep shooting and improving...

Agreed on the "meh" but I l like the stare, pose and composition.  The 'flat light' is what kills me about this shot.  That's just it... the shot is flat as a pancake.

Thanks for the feedback.

So true, Matt...  going out today for child portrait shoot.

Want to get out with a model again in the next week.

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

This photo is more about the background then model, 75% of the photo is background
Blur the background so it is less distracting
Pointing a leg at camera tends to make it appear shorter

As far as the background that door with the vertical planks would be a nicer background then the one with sheets of ply wood, assuming of course it would be out of focus
