i've been reading about these Korean off-brand monitors for a while now, and finally grabbed one last week at Microcenter (http://microcenter.com/product/384780/E … ED_Monitor)...

EXCELLENT smile

for those who haven't followed the "saga", these are the same LG panels that are used in Apple Cinema Display, re-branded and re-shelled by off-brand companies... the screen is fantastic, especially once calibrated... the stand/shell is cheap and creaky, but hey - these are meant to be CHEAP... you can get them on ebay for right around $300... not bad for a 27" LG WQHD IPS screen smile

so, has anyone else joined the cheap Korean monitor club, or am i alone on this one ?

Both my screens have the Samsung brand on them. Have both worked flawlessly.

I read this thread as "The Cheap Korean Dinner Club", and I got really really excited about it.

not yet smile

the stand is solid, but creaky and doesn't have a whole lot of tilt to it...  the plastic of the casing is not the premium kind, but doesn't look cheap... and the most important thing - the screen is gorgeous...
