I'm new, well few months into this..  Be gentle..
(And yes, in Seattle, this does count as a beach)

I like them... especially for someone so new... is that gentle enough....

Just one thing, have they been post processed?... the model's skin appears to be too smooth, slightly over processed.

Thanks..

Yes, they have been heavily post processed..   I wasn't trying to hide it, kind of the look I was going for..  The fact that you asked either means you're being nice or I didn't do a totally bad job..

On the first shot, I specifically gave her a tan, removed all facial spots, applied a lo pass blurring filter, and then a hi pass filter (replaces some skin texture)..  I also slightly saturated and curved (photoshop curves) the nonskin areas (except eyes and lips)..  I used curves on the lips (make them more red), and sharpened and lightened the eyes.  I also sharpened the entire photo as well.

Too, too, too much post -you have changed a pretty model in a nice location to a half-melted barbie doll.

Ease up on the post - let the femininity of the model shine through.

Be careful of horizontals (e.g., horizon) or verticals (e.g., posts) running through a model's head - it adds a major distraction.

Good luck,

JT

as a model, this makes me not want to work with you, and run in the other direction. there is just no excuse for post work like that.

Details strap twisted models left
Skin looks off [kind of fake]

Little less head tilt, have the head pointed at camera more or have the eyes look where the nose is pointed
Skin also looks odd

Details hair band on wrist, twisted models left strap
If you show that much model include the feet please
[Rotate models head so less of models left eye is showing for a great profile image]
Skin issues as well

You have a good start on your portfolio!

Thanks everyone..

Seems the consensus is over processed skin..  I adjusted things a bit on the first image and put it on the facebook page..

And to the model who said she wouldn't work with me, well I wouldn't work with you either, you're way too far away..  :-)
