Cruise folks frowned on tripods and flashes as "professional" and commercial and therefore prohibited by security. But advise bring anyway for discrete use on ship and also while in MX.
If you have water resistant cases for cameras, you may wish to use it.
Waves almost drenched my camera twice,
they did get one camera,
heard that another tog held equipment out of the water with his hands and absentmindedly walked into pool with camera around his neck and dunked it! :-(
Reflector--bring but try not to lose it like I did.
Tripod--someone stuck it in my stuff so I picked up something I don't need, no name. Reported to Lost and Found--no claimants.
Power--bring power strip so you can operate in cabin with few outlets.
Read previous thread for tons of ideas, checklists, links, etc. ad nauseam!

hi zoni!! i would definitely advice checking out portfolios prior to the cruise. not having internet was the biggest issue i encountered whilst on the cruise - i wish i had made a more thorough and detailed list of everyone that i had hoped to work with prior to departure. my biggest advise though would just to be open, stay flexible, and focus on having fun!! trying to schedule things too much becomes very difficult very quickly and can be stressful while on the cruise. so while it's good to have an idea of individuals you hope to work with, stay open to working with everyone! keep me in mind as well as far as what model you would like to sponsor, and either way hope to see you on the cruise in october ;D

I'm going to throw myself into the crazy arena of models wishing to be sponsored. I have some new ideas that are above and beyond the traditional beach/cruise ship shots done in the past. But I'm not sharing them ahead of time like I did for the last cruise.

still 10 months away, i know, but already hearing some of the amazing models and photogs from last year plan on being there - plus some new friends! can't wait and sure hope to join ;D
