This is our 6th group shoot and we have been having great turnouts. It is a great chance for models and photographers to meet and build portfolios or network. Last year I was able to get 2 days work for 4 of our models and our MUA at a photo seminar. I wouldn't have known about them if they hadn't come to the group shoot
There is a list on my profile page that shows some shots taken at earlier shoots here. I have a studio with 2 strobes and white, black, and blue paper backdrops, a shelter house that we stack with straw so it looks like you are in a barn, woods, cabins, porch swings, stone fireplace, and many many outdoor settings. The waterfall and the pool below it are bone dry. It will take a lot of rain to get it flowing again. Even if it rains on the day of the shoot, there is plenty of room for 9 photographers to work in the shelter house, main house and barn. More can work in the 3 small cabins.
These cabins are for rent for $75 for the weekend. That is normally what they cost a night. It is $75 if you stay one night or 2 or even 3. There are only 3, so first come, first served.

If you are a model and have flaked once, you can send $25 to the above address and then you will be put on the list. If you have flaked twice, please don't waste our time. This also applies to photographers. When you don't show up, it messes up everyones schedule.

There is a good possibility that I'll be coming but it is kind of up in the air at this point. Will let everyone know for sure once I know. This summer was pretty much a wash for photography due to mom's rollercoaster health issues. At this point she seems to be doing better and if all goes well through the rest of the month, I'll commit to coming. Keep your fingers crossed and any thoughts and prayers for a good healthy month would be greatly appreciated!

Everyone needs to be recruiting. I sent out 20 notices last night. We still have 5 weeks. There are a lot of people that are last minute. Most people don't plan this far ahead.
Ok.. I'm going to bite the bullet and commit to the shoot. I am 99.9% sure I'll be able to come barring any problems from my mom's heart tests on October 1st. If something happens and I can't make it, I will know that week and be able to give about a month's notice to any models that schedule with me.
I would love to schedule with both new models as well as models that I photographed back in June. I will be messaging the models that I didn't shoot with to try to see if I can fit into your schedules. Any models that I photographed back in June that would like to shoot again, I would love to work with each and every one of you again. I had a blast last time. Shoot me a message if you have a spot and would like to work together on some new shots!
Right now the only spots that I have closed off are from 4-6 trying to get those into schedules posted that look like they are already almost full and would like to keep the lunch spot open to enjoy that awesome spread that Jim's family puts on for his group shoots..
