Awesome job on the photos that have been posted!  Out of curiousity, what is your post-production workflow?  What post tools are you all using?

Great photos so far. I did a couple last night I will post tomorrow. I primarily use Lightroom 4. You really can't beat it.  I also have portrait professional I use sparingly. Finally, because I'm cheap, I use gimp instead of photoshop, it's free and does everything I need.

The ones i've posted are not touched other than resized for the ladies to choose from. But  my "flow" is to upload to their respective folders, then cull them for blinks/blurs. Then go thru them to pick out some for choosing for retouching.  CS3 is my only editor. And if it takes me more than 15 minutes to "retouch", I dump it and move to the next. *shrugs,  works for me*

I use Lightroom 3.  I download the pics, and go through them.  I pick which ones I want to edit, then edit them.  My images are pretty much as shot, except some sets, I play with and alter the colors.  Like last night, I started editing my photos at 7.  I had 4 models, and took about 125 photos for the day.  I chose about 55 of them to edit.  Each model received 10 - 20 photos each.  By 10, all models had all photos edited and emailed to them.  I had some posted on Mayhem, Deviant Art, and Facebook.  By 10:30, I was in bed watching cartoons, and all finished.

Shawn, my workflow is a bit hectic. I download all my photos to folders and then transfer them to Lightroom. I glance through them deleting the ones that are beyond anything productive. I sort through looking for the photos that have an artsy feel to it and then I concentrate on it until I have it completed. I use PS 5 and 6 that I add signature and fix any minor hiccups. I add layers and texturing if I feel it fits and then turn it into a jpg.

I could be working on one folder for several days. I try to put an artsy side to each photo if I can.

lol, I told you it was a bit hectic.  smile

Lol..  Yours sounds normal to me Greg.. lol..  I pull all mine into Lightroom 4 creating a job structure for each model, import images from card, add tags, cull through getting rid of blinks or anything beyond what can't be repaired through RAW adjustments or portrait professional.  Then I go back and cull through to pick 10-20 best from each model and go through edits.  Currently I'm only using Lightroom and Portrait Professional but I have Photoshop CS5 and OnOne Perfect Photo Suite 6 but haven't really had time to dig into them to figure out much. I think I might even have the Topaz suite that I bought a couple years ago.. lol..  (Yeah I come from tech geek background and I guess the software junkie part hasn't wore off lol)...  Once I'm finished I export from Lightroom to my Zenfolio account where I set up folders for each model to be able to download..

Main reason I asked was after seeing some of your photos of Hanna..  So you are just using photoshop to do your composites and overlays?

Jim, another way is to go to the picture you want to post and right click it and under the info you will see an address where the picture is located. If you copy that link and type this in the reply:

Presto, your pic will show up in the thread.   smile

Were you able to get hardwired broadband or did you end up getting Intelliwave?  I am still unable to get hardwired DSL/Cablemodem here..  Hoping I'll get that ability this decade..  Last one was a huge disappointment.. lol  When I moved down here to take care of mom, my apartment I left in Westerville I had both installed and only just recently was able to get Intelliwave..  I think the twitching from withdrawal has finally almost stopped... lol

Dial up internet?  Does your phone have a crank on the side so that you can get ahold of Mabel, the operator, to connect you?

EDIT:  Bottom of the page AGAIN!  Could someone above me go back to their post and edit in a couple of photos or something to push me onto the next page, please?
