When my family introduced my dog to her doggie bed, she was scared of the change. She thought we were punishing her. So, we helped her readjust by hiding treats in the bed. She started to associate the bed with good stuff, and she just started sleeping on it on her own. smile

I bring all of his toys to it and I put it right next to my desk. So I'm hoping this has a similar effect! Do you know how long it took?

It took Sadie between two weeks and a month, if I remember correctly. What helped was not making a big deal out of it. If we acted excited or adamant about her being near the bed, she'd think she was in trouble and would shake. When we'd give her treats and place it on the bed, she wouldn't think too much of it.

Oh! You could also try sitting on the bed and cuddling with him at the same time! smile It'll make it the bed smell like you and him, thus making it feel "safe."

Haha did that. He now thinks he's a lap dog. He's lying on his bed now!!! I told him he's such a good boy! big_smile

Now I need to test it and see if I can sneak off to bed and he wont follow...
