Anything that required a 600mm lens.

Reason: self-explanatory.

There are no real styles/genres of shoots that I completely shut off. There are however a few concepts that I will not shoot (as of right now):

- ball gags, I don't like the way they feel or the way they make my face look, plus I generally stay away from anything with an overtly submissive role

- romantic or sexual shoots with other models (as in couples shots mainly)

- shoots with insertion or masturbation, even implied masturbation, just a personal limit thing

- Playboy style glamour (with the sexy/come-hither face), because I suck at it ^_~, I do like softer or sensual glamour though

- tickle fetish, even though it is fully clothed (or has been when I have been approached for it), I do not like to be touched like that

Those are the main things I get asked to shoot that I am not interested in, but I try to stay open minded too.

Hard core glamour leaning into adult work. It's just something I've never been into or would work at as either a model or photographer.

fetish and bondage and things like that, playboy style glamour, spread nudes, sexual couple shots, (implied) masturbation, fat bodyscapes (you know, close ups of rolls or cellulite), religious imagery (I'm catholic, it's just not my thing), and anything that requires me to smoke or even hold a cigarette, or that requires wasting food

Nothing boring, bad taste, vulgar etc... unless it as a reason to be.
Or a wedding, unless it involves all of the above!

Not a fan of doing fetish shoots. Was asked yesterday and I will give my reason here. I personally haven't seen any that scream "art" when I look at them. There may be some, but I haven't seen them

Any shoot where a model sends me a photo and says "I want to do THIS shot". As in copying someone elses work.

There aren't many types of styles I would ever totally discount if there's potential to create, learn, or make money.

Its more about who I wouldn't work with rather than what I wouldn't do.

I would never photograph a model wearing nothing but heels and panties leaning over a sink doing make-up in a bath with a deer head on the back wall; a hat on one side of the antlers,  a squirrel on the other antler eating a nut with a small bulldog sitting in a puddle of pee in the front staring down the barrel of the lens with a guilty look on his face.

Reason… unrealistic… you never see a squirrel on a deer antler in real life.

No interest in porn, unless I get paid a lot.

Not much interested in glamour, generally, I don't think I'm good at it.

Various specialty things; "alt," bondage, and stuff that's specialized enough I don't know about it.

Mostly, I shoot portraits, reasonably artistic nudes, and some stuff that kinda approximates fashion.

Reason: self-explanatory.

I've been on the boardwalk in Miami and seen shot crews there doing what looked like high fashion.

Photographer was a long way off with a tripod and big ass lens (like really HUGE) talking to the crew (model, styling, guy holding a sunblocker / parasol, couple of guys with reflectors) using a walkie talkie he was so far away. I can see that; he wanted full body with LOTS of long lens compression to change the models face / body shape.

Seen this a few times now. So it's not unusual or illadvised to use super long lenses for fashion work.

Using it for its intended purpose rather than wrapping the model in it doesn't count.

Swords, unless someone's actually getting hurt.
Elf ears, devil horns, angel or butterfly wings or tails, unless they are at least on fire for real.

What can I say, I have my limits, and these are pretty much it.

Oh, did I forget to mention that for $20 and hour I might be willling to consider a "Elvin sprite by a dreamy lake holding a sword with one hand and lovingly preening her wing with the other" theme?
